This is what really got me started, on Dec 6th of 2012 I had shoulder surgery. Normally an outpatient procedure, I knew they were going to keep me at least one night because of the triple bypass I had in June of 2012. I bought a joyetech Ego C upgrade, 650 MAH, which I keep n a shaving kit. The hospital I was in is very new and all rooms are private, so I would just sneak vapes when I was alone. A nurse did walk in on me once, but she didn't really say anything one way or another.

Our closes hospital allows vaping in a patient's room. In fact, the hospital that my RN daughter works at encourages their smoking patients to vape. All of my doctors are supportive of vaping. As long as you are vaping respectfully, I don't see a problem unless they have a specific policy against vaping.

It's the same way for hospitals around here.

For some reason and for a good thing..so far I've not been told to NOT vape. My partner had a quadruple bypass, doesn't smoke anything and when I went to visit, I vaped in the room. A nurse came in and at first looked shocked, then I showed her what it was and explained that it was not a tobacco product. Soon, 3 more nurses came in afterwards and said they would like to have ALL hospital personel who smoke to switch to vaping.
Once I explain it, I've never had anyone who wasn't interested in it.

I retired years ago, but I know if I'd take a bunch of them when I go Disney World and other places that restrict smoking, I could sell them like hotcakes. I retired from marketing but perhaps I should go into marketing E-cigs....Betcha I'd be a multi-millionaire in a matter of months! LOL

Although I've run into a couple stalwart bidddies who complain about anything having to do with "smoke" coming out of mouths of people...I bet I'd still sell them and probably get those old biddies to vape too! I just need to spend a little more "quality" time with the biddies. <G>

I think when one vapes "respectfully" that means...no blowing the vape in their faces and have them guess what flavors we're vaping? <G>

I got caught as I was checking out. Surprise! I got a lecture that it was against hospital policy that not even employees are allowed to use them. Well they offer the gum (actually most dont have the gum), which gave me severe gum recession and now below the gum line cavities I cant afford to fix, and patches which I am severely allergic to. Hmm, really vaping seems the best alternative to me. $*#% them. I will do it again. I con't care. What will they do kick me out? Go ahead. By law they will have to send me by ambulance to another facility that will allow me to vape because I am under their care. It will be an administrative nightmare for them. Or immediately declare I am cured, which can lead to a lot of paperwork with the medical board. I read the state law. It specifically states lighted tobacco products.
