Haha... that's where we find the diamonds in the rough.

And look where you are Today! You inspire people and your love and caring of the Bunnies bring joy to many. :D
Haha yea but still if I ever asked a woman out or went on a few dates there is little I could talk about if asked about my life . Without scaring her off that is;) I’d either have to make stuff up or just seem really boring. Or tell the truth and watch her run for her life ha.

There was this girl who was chatting me up for a long time at the feed store a while back showing me her bunny set up and talking bunnies for a long time with me. I thought she seemed nice and was pretty Cute. For the first time in years I thought Mabye I could make friends with somebody.

I brought my little bunny “precious” in on Saturday to the store packing her on my chest like a baby, I wanted to show her off. The girl was there and seemed happy to see my baby bunny but wouldn’t even give her a scratch on the ear. She Said that there is a bunny virus that can be transferred between bunnies so she wouldn’t touch her.

That was it for me I’m sick of all the paranoia about virus’s and now here’s someone who thinks my cute perfect baby rabbit could be germ ridden!!? What is the world coming to.

It will never be the same again...

Actually, there is a rabbit virus that has been in the news here in the US
RABBIT HEMORRHAGIC DISEASE VIRUS (RHDV2)

I don't know if it has spread up to your part of the world, but I thought about your little guys when I read about it in our news.

As for the young lady, I can't give much advice there. I'm an old, spinster, cat lady...

Yes but that’s like my child I’d rather have the bunnies than a human anyways.

I can sleep soundly knowing the bunnies arnt going to put a hit out on me and my mother or be drunk bringing strange men over while I’m at work ;)

Doesn’t help that my mom watches all the crime shows on tv that show that stuff as well ha. I’m alwyas saying see that’s why you never get married they just want to put a life insurance policy on you and kill you

Been absent from this area. @Ricky Vapes you continue to crack me up.

If said virus has spread to that part of the world, well the young lady was giving you valuable information. As well as probably loving HER bunnies as much as you do yours.

After a period of isolation the bunnies (and humans caring for their bunny kiddos) could probably, ah, comingle in some manner.

Hate to admit it but no matter how cute a puppy someone wanted me to deal with when I worked at the tribe, I wouldn't. Their rate of Parvo is off the charts and I would have hated to spread it from one house to another, I mean i was doing in home therapy and despite how WONDERFUL a times it might have been to like, bring a full scale shower with me, it was not possible.

There were a few houses that, could I have gotten away with it without grave offense, I would have shoved vicks vapo rub below my nose, just like dealing with corpses that is how bad it was. So, you just never know.

Oh god sounds horrible. I’m gonna ask my vet about it. This girl said it’s only on our island but who knows.

Found Gemma today with her newest arrivals - a very healthy set of gorgeous floppy ear twins

I need to get a much better photo, but I didn't want to disturb her too much.

I’m out of the loop on rabbit diseases, but that’s standard procedure with birds for me. Bird diseases are rarely in the news, but a constant threat.

I think that’s partly why I’ve always been a keen hand-washer, especially given how I love the wild birds and spend a lot of time outdoors, filling feeders and such. And it’s not just that other birds could infect my bird, but there are some things people can catch from them, too.

I used to think dogs were safe from that, but there’s been a lot of parvovirus and leptospirosis (I think that’s what it’s called) in my area the last couple years. Fortunately my vet keeps Georgia up to date on shots.

OMGosh I would just like to lay in the grass around your place Ange and daydream.
I know we all admire each others life but if given a chance to trade with anyone I would be down for trading lives with you any day. Tiny house, cat for best friend, surrounded by meadows filled with sheep and lambs..I would never leave home

Plenty of room here for tiny houses and Daphne

and yes, I absolutely appreciate living in this lil spot of paradise. Before I moved, my sis's farm was always my holiday location and recuperation spot

I've been dealing with anxiety and extreme irritability over the last 9 months. Two things that are the complete opposite, to how my mind normally deals with situations. What has helped the most has been everything in my backyard: the mountain views, the isolation, the fresh air and most importantly the animals. Especially Luna the lunatic
