Warning: Contains references to bunnies, possums and a couple of timeshared cats, oh and words lots of words

I have a cat i timeshare with its owner, unsurprisingly known as Timeshare Cat II (real name Minx). I got to know her Mum years ago when i needed a place to live after my parent turned their back on me after i built them a free granny flat i never got to spend a night in (always fun remembering that) and she was subletting a cabin in the country. One of the conditions of me being given the cabin was that the cat (the original Timeshare Cat, real name Miss Gucci) liked me, because she hated everyone, but took to me instantly and that was my and her Mums friendship sealed. Miss Gucci had a habit of waking me up in the mornings when i kitty sat by kissing my eyelids, the more scary version of waking up was to find myself literally nose to nose to her on the pillow with her staring directly in my soul.

Her mum and i lived 30 metres apart for 1.5 years. seeing each other maybe twice a week - we liked our own space, during which i would wake up each day to a lawn littered with bunnies and at night feeding possums over the harsh winter, and spending Saturday mornings up at the house with TC...then the place was sold by the owners and we had to part company, and i had to come back to Sydney, but we remained friends and i would kittysit the original Timeshare Cat or her mum would call me up and say "sick of the city, need a day away?. i'll leave the door unlocked, come down and spend a day with the cat", And so i did regularly until the original Timeshare Cat passed away.

Then, a few months later, as i knew she would, she rang me up as she was thinking of getting a new companion, shes like me, doesn't like to share her space with another human, but prefers felines. I liked that i was included in the conversation. so a few weeks later we had a new cat which i could timeshare. Worked out well when TC II was a kitten as her mum worked in real estate and so was out long hours, and so i would come down and give the new TC II some human time. We bonded pretty quick.

Then on Jan 5th 2017, i had a seizure, out of nowhere, that left me largely bed bound for 2.3 years, with crippling dizziness meaning i couldn't get vertical a lot fo the time and couldnt travel the 2.5 hours each way to see TC II. So after 6 months of my absence TC II's mum (who kept in contact with me during my entire illness) decided it was time to bring forward her plan to acquire another kitten, as she felt TC needed company due to her lifestyle.

So i finally got well and started travelling down to the country late last year, but i was off petminding my other furchildren, all dogs (dogs are a job, cats are perfect for aspies, they dont expect you to serve their every whim and are independent as us), or down to volunteer at a nursing home i volunteered at since 2011, all in the same area. But i never got time to travel to the neighbouring village to see TC II or her own new companion cat TC III.

I was supposed to go away a few weeks ago and finally break my 3 years having not seen TC II, but it got postphoned. But on the 21st of this month, finally i will get to see TC II again , after 3 years, and get to meet her offsider. All ive had for 3 years is regular TC II and TCIII pics. Longest period in my life without feline access. As with a lot of aspies, we prefer animals to people and i have a particular affinity with animals that their owners see and why i get word of mouth petminding stints away. So no offense humans, but its been a long 3 years with just other humans, need me some cat time....
I hope you and TC II have a perfect reunion.

Yup! My cat was recently in the hospital having some sort of growth removed from his throat. I never realized how important is was, just to have him laying around, and generally getting in the way.

Got my bunny pictures developed:)

Gonna make a few posters about adopting some of the babies out.

Then frame some of my favourites and have the family photo hanging on their rabbit house :)

Then bugs and sassy will have their photo too where they look like lady and the tramp except with bunnies and parsley instead of dogs and spaghetti

I see them. Both of them.

I can’t see them.

The forum has been wonky for pics the last day or two.

Ever the optimist, I’ll try to share a picture from today. I packed up and ran off to the marsh. Gotta practice lugging that boat anchor of a camera before warble season. Joke was on me, there were more birds in my front yard. I did catch this ‘lifer’ which I think is a trumpeter swan, could be a tundra. Either way, a first for me.

And this contentious pair of Canada geese, who seemed to be bickering about squonkers. At least that’s what it sounded like they were saying.

Terrible shots. I need a lot of practice! But I had a great day all the same.

    I can understand completely

I went from farming, to working 10 years in retail. I then pulled the plug, moved from the city, back to a small cottage on my sisters farm. And I'm now working with animals again. Which is SO much better :D
