Archie has been turned over to animal control. They let me bring him in and set him up in cage. She has until Friday to come get him although they will give her extensions. Both my name and a friends name are on his waiting list if he becomes available. The good news is the wretched women has already called and asked if she could send her "sister/friend" pick him up. She was told NO, has to be her and she has to show ID. Maybe she is rethinking the drive.

Unfortunately it happens because there are crazy folks out there treating animals like property (its mine, I do not care if it ate at your house for 4 weeks)
I have a small group of rescue friends, 4-5 of us, between us we rehome and rescue hundreds of cats a year, feed colonies of ferals and are always trapping and neutering. This is the first time it has happened to me but it has happened to all of them.
If you go around trying to get homeless pets safe you can be met with some resistance by stupid people. My first instinct was "I will never help another stray" but I know I will.

I don’t either but what do we call this ?

I know some people can really let forums take over their life as well. But my god there are so many people I know that just spend all day on Facebook at work home whenever and can’t even visit with you without putting their phone down .

I guess I do go on here a lot so I can’t judge too much. But it’s not like it’s taken over my life and I’m not being and idiot posting stupid crap about relationships and memes. I have a guy at my work who posts conversations between him and a guy who he found out has been secretly having intimate conversations with his spouse/mother of his kids.

So childish he would show me like ha I sure showed her! I just said uh don’t you think you look like an idiot now with everyone seeing you having to tell some random guy that you are still together with your spouse because she goes around telling guys you are broken up?

Then he comes up to me and asks to use my phone because he was told that some guy called his spouse a “Ho”. He says can you believe that ?! People need to mind their own business!! That’s my wife!!!

I just shake my head in disbelief and thank god i don’t have Facebook or anything to read that crap.

You guys are cool and so many people here have helped me with vape stuff along with helping me get my bunnies home and even helping with the cost of the neuters without even asking :)

ughhh...late night (for me 8;45pm) run to the pharmacy for blood pressure med refill, resulted in an accident. Dark road, tons of water, stupid 24 year old that seemed brain dead (too much pot) pulled out in front of me. No time to stop. I tried and slid and crashed into him. Heard my dog in the backseat, hit the back of my seat and go UMPH (my first worry after making sure I could stand) then there is brain dead kid at my window yelling at me that I hit his car. I ask him to call the police. I have phone in hand but am not doing something right because I cannot/am not making the call. Dazed, YES. Hurt, not really. Others stop and someone calls the police. Divine intervention happens and my daughter calls me and I tell her, bad accident. I know the road I am on and but not the roads I am in between and it is a long dark road. I finally come too enough to call 911, bad accident. I tell them the road I am on, again I do not know the whereabouts on that road. Like my mind has been wiped clean.
Thankfully the police, the Georgia state patrol and my daughter all arrive in a timely way. Brain dead kid is still asking me "what were you thinking" I refuse to speak to him. My wonderful daughter sorts out all for me. My vape exploded, as in cover off, batteries out, drip tip gone. The kid and his passenger friend are all excited and telling anyone that will listen how I am at fault as I should have stopped long before I hit them. My daughter shows remarkably restraint by stopping herself every time she begins to go yell at them.
After an hour of he said, she said and measurements in the road, I am allowed to go. I refuse the wrecker because it turns out I am only about 1/2 mile from my street. My daughter drives my car, which is dragging the whole front end and puts it in the garage.
Stupid kid is sited for "failing to yield" to oncoming traffic and I want so bad to go scream in his face but I go home.
So much to do now and I will need a rental car. Big important dentist appointment early afternoon today and I will not be able to get the rental in time so I will have to drive my daughters car.
This is the THIRD time in 10 years that someone has rocked my world by causing an accident. Another just like this, someone pulled in front of me, then accused me of hitting them. One where someone slammed into the back of me and damaged my beloved 4 runner.
The thing is I was going to get started on trading in my 2013 Toyota Highlander with only 110K miles and upgrading to like a 2016. Now my car has lost value.

I’m glad you and Daphne are okay. You and your daughter showed great restraint. I’m afraid I would have lost my cool, especially after he was cited. You don’t need all this while you’re recovering.

My guy Archie was reclaimed by that horrible women today at 3;30EST. Poor him. I will pray he stays well. Maybe this will be a lesson to her.

    I hope so

You have had enough stress over the past few weeks to knock over a bull. Dr Ange prescribes lots of rest, lots of vaping and lots and lots of relaxing

I think of ECF as my only form of social media. My faves are of course the Shiny Thread, and this one

And as we're all vapers, who have quit smoking thanks to vaping - we are a true support group. I found the shiny thread after 3 months smoke-free. Checking in every day to that thread, was my way of being accountable. It certainly played a huge part in getting me through my first year smoke-free.

Now, I just love the fun we have, that we can support each other when needed, drool over vape gear, and get warm fuzzies from shiny pets
