Unfortunately without some kind of wicking system, and a heating coil, you don't have an e-cig!
But when you say the wick burns out pretty quick, I presume you mean the coil?
Coils (in whatever form) are considered disposable components.
There are lots of different types of coil; but essentially it wears out from having a pretty high current put through while heating up e-liquid (which forms deposits on the coil), which also adds to its' degradation.
Average lifespan of a coil before it burns out or has significantly reduced performance is approx a couple of weeks or so (but much of this depends on what type of coil, the voltage used, how much it is used etc).
Some coils you can dry-burn to give it some more life (although not if it has burnt out already of course).
So it sounds like maybe you should get into rebuilding your own coils?
There are many videos on YouTube showing how, on a multitude of devices; maybe check out some of

The
510 Long DCT - Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank is a good carto IMO; the wicking is enabled via wadding in the inner tube which surrounds the coils. But you will still have to replace the DCT carto insert every 2 weeks or so, and some people (like me) cut a 3mm slot in them to aid wicking.
Personally I am loving the
eVod MT BCC eGo Clearomizer - Black/stainless atm, it is like a T3 upgrade; but the resistance is (presently) lower (1.8 ohms) than the T3, so if your eGo battery is unregulated, the voltage may be a bit high for it when fully charged...
Good luck!
