First let me say I'm a dual coil fan. But I was looking forward to trying these out. I won't go into specifics of the build because quite a few others have done that already. Out of the package mine measured 2.5 ohms. The first one I filled with my favorite juice ( Vermillion River Kentucky Premium ) I vape this most every day all day. I"m using my own custom vv mod. First set at 3.7volts I was getting a fair amount of vapor and taste. But it was lacking somewhat. I kept fiddling with it all the way to 4.2 volts. I kept getting some of the tobacco taste but the sweetness was muted whereas it jumps out at ya at these voltages with the dual coils.

I let it set for a while and kept wondering what would be doing that. After a couple of hours I put it back on and decided to step the voltage up. I turned it it up to 4.8 and got a taste of burn. Dropped it back to 4.6 and I found it !! 4.4 to 4.6 is the sweet spot for me. The vapor rivals the dual coils but I still can't quite get the sweetness out with any voltage. It's close but just not quite there. But absolutely no complaints at all with the vapor or throat hit. Just one more thing. Is anyone else experiencing just a slight chalky taste (vape) with the Sapphires ? Maybe it's just providing a drier hit than I'm used to. Or maybe just screwed up taste buds  Hard to explain but I've only used 1 so maybe it's just this one.

All in all this is a great product. The one main reason this may take the place of my dual coils is longevity. They are both easy enough to clean,,,,,,,but,,,,,, there is performance loss with the dc'c after the first cleaning. The draw gets harder if you don't pack it a certain way. So I usually just toss em. I can see the sapphires lasting quite a while so no worry there. Kudos to gotvapes for these.

And on a side note to Badkolo, please accept my apology about my rant the other day. I don't know if it was something I read or if I was just having a bad day(actually had quite a few recently) but I had no right to ram a product before trying it. I have to give my hats off to ya for not getting overly excited about it and to your quick responses and attention to to all the questions you get. I know it must get extremely difficult and nerve racking to introduce new products without the fear of recalls. I will definitely recommend Gotvapes to anyone as A+++ Thanks

I absolutely recommend the sapphire

squirrel64, you had great points that had merit in your previous posts. I think you efficiently summed up the concerns of many, certainly mine. I mostly lurk and I do not post much on these forums at the moment, though I also agree that badkolo has been on top of community management when it comes to questions and attentiveness. Hats off to both of ya.

I had the opportunity to fill up my own bud last night and am impressed - certainly a great product. If this is a sign of things to come, then we certainly have a bright future in the vaping world.

I don't necessarily think it's you on the sweetness. My test juice (and all day vape) is a cherry tobacco, and for some reason only dual coils (and one other fillered carto) really bring the cherry out, on almost everything else including dripping the cherry is much more subtle. I don't know what it is with those.

Try taking a Clearo tube or any tube that is about 2" long and tape it to the end of your DCC. Then try your e-Liquids.

A bottom coil moves the point of vaporization much farther away from your tongue than a DCC or a CE2 type carto. This changes the taste of the vapor quite a bit.

At least it does for me.
