I love my new BB. Since I'm using 3.7v w/ LR attys, was wondering if Altsmoke will be offering the original battery bottoms that don't require spacers for the 14500 batteries.

The batts just pop in,no spacers required.

I tried stretching the spring, but contact was inconsistant. I've been using 3 magnetic spacers to get a solid connection. I dunno, maybe I have the wrong spring.
You should PM Chad.
Have you only used a 14500 in that BB? If you use an unprotected battery in the device and there is a short(bad adapter), it could cause the spring to colapse from the high current passing through it.Thanks Quick
ETA: Pulled on the spring harder and it seems to be long enough now.![]()

One other question, what color is the spring?
Is that one of the flat top bateries? The spring is copper/red. I've only used the AW 14500 750mah and the Trustfire 14500 900mah with Drews 510 1.5ohm LR. The spring was too short when I first got it last week, even after stretching. I can get it to fire by pulling on it hard, but only for an hour or so. It fires great with the spacers.

Okie Dokie, could you pm me your contact info so I can get a new spring out to youNo. Both are button top and they measure is 500mm.

ETA: I think it's fixed. It looks like the coil on the top of the spring was too large and not making good contact with the plate on the bottom of the battery (except when I added the spacers). I turned it further with needle nose pliers and it seams to be making good contact now. The spring is 200mm long, which is more than enough length. Thanks
