What gauge wire are you using? How many wraps? Inside diameter?

I wrap my coils for most of my rdas with 24g 6wraps 2.5mm id. Dual coil comes out to .28
The kanthal wire that comes in the ecr coil kit by eleaf.
Not sure about the gauge value or the wraps. This would be my first build if i do so. So I'm clueless here.

Take your time, you're asking the right questions.
When you build your RDA/tank make sure the screws are tight, not overly tight because it will snap the legs on the coil.
If your ohms are all over the place when you fire it, check the screws and legs of the coils, screws tight no snapped legs. This is usually the problem.
We were all beginners at some point too ;)
Thanks for the input. Will keep that in mind while building. :)

Yeh I've read that most of the mods blowing up are mech mods. What you say makes sense about the gases.

Yeah.... If a Battery Vents and the Gases are Not Confined to the Mod, it Isn't a Catastrophic Failure.

Not something I want to Happen. But something that Isn't going to Blow my Hand Off. It's when the gases Can't escape the Mod. Now you are holding a Pipe Bomb.

So speaking of Batteries. What type of Batteries are you using? And what Mod are they going in?

Thanks for the link buddy.
Can you suggest a good video to watch for learning how to use these?

For this type of Coil Jig, they All work about the same.

The only "Tip" I would give you is Don't push the part you turn towards the body of the Coil Jig. This can cause the coil to get Overlapping wraps.

Just let it turn on it's own.

Woah. The battery melted? As in the metal on the battery just melted? It must be like a 1000 degrees.

Good point. Probably shouldn’t have said meltdown. Strictly speaking a meltdown is where the cooling system fails and the nuclear fuel in the core of the battery melts through the steel containment vessel, which we call the mod. If you have the mod sitting on your keyboard tray it can melt its way through the tray, through your leg, and right through to the Earth’s core. Luckily this doesn’t happen often.

I got one called Coil Master a few weeks ago. I had been making coils on a drill bit for years, and the first coil I made on the jig was better than anything I had managed before. There's still a learning curve but take your time and it's not too hard.

It's a while back but it probably took me around a dozen attempts before I got to where I could build good coils and get them installed successfully on a regular basis.

Good luck.

Lol [emoji14] i think it'd vaporize way before it reaches the Earth's core [emoji14]

I think I'll be able to learn quickly with all the great help I'm getting here.
Thanks :)

What is the purpose of the different sized holes?
Changes the inside radius of the coil?

The Coil Master comes with 6 rods in different sizes for wrapping coils with different inside sizes. They all will have a few different sizes.

It comes with different sized jig adapters for different ID. It has an allen key for changing the adapters. Most use either the 2.5mm or the 3mm

I think you use one for Single Wire. And the Other for when you are using Multiple Wires like a Twisted or Clapton.

To be Honest with you, I haven't compared the 2 Settings much. Because when I make Coils, they are Almost Always Single Wire Coils. And the times when I have down Multi-Wire Coils, I didn't change settings.

Someone who makes Multi-Wire Coils might be able to give you a Better Answer.

ETA: You are talking about the 2 Screw Holes that go on the thing your Turn. Right?
