Should Electronic Cigarettes be Regulated as a Medicine? Like the Nicotrol Inhaler or the Nicotine Patches and Gums?

This is one among many of the big concerns. The safety of vaping, the unknown chemicals used, and the long term impact of those unknown chemicals.

I get tired of guys who say they know what's in their liquid. Now don't get me wrong I'm sure many think they know but in reality they really don't know. But I mix it myself they say. I say so what?? The fact is you only know what you've been led to believe your buying and then mixing. You do not know what actual chemicals besides maybe pg and vg are being used you can't even be sure of those levels. You have no idea of where the flavorings came from, how they where made or what chemicals those flavorings contain, not mention you have no knowledge of the source or quality level of the Nicotine you bought online is. These are just some of the reasons why liquids and hardware need to be regulated. The general public needs to be confident that the product their buying isn't gonna make them sick or worse, they need to know the latest battery the shop owner pushed on them as the best isn't going to explode or burn their house down as they sleep. These aren't unwarranted concerns they are very real and a open market without any oversight is trouble for consumers who believe since its available at the drug store it must be safe. Remember everyone using a ecig isn't goona research it, no their gonna buy it and use it assuming its a safe product and perhaps never even see the tiny print on the bottle that's says made in China in sub standards conditions.

Have you ever eaten Cheetos?

I'm not advocating for the proposed regulations, those are proposals made by those with their own agendas. I'm also not discounting anyone's success, including yours. However to say not having ecigs will cripple or kill is in my opinion a great exgraration.

If I recall correctly, you still smoke in addition to vaping. Nothing wrong with that, but it seems you have less to lose than those of us who are tobacco free and have no option except vaping to stay that way.

Yeah, and look what happened. Kids rode bikes downhill at high speed without a helmet. Swam in unapproved places with no lifeguard. Ate worms. Grew their hair down over their ears. As a result 50 years later the survivors ended up like us. Don't The Kids deserve better than that? :2cool:

Hardly any children had asthma when I was a kid. What's up with that?

It's interesting that despite all of the regulations air freshener manufacturers are still not required to list all of the ingredients.

eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations (It's long. Do a search on "freshener" if you want to read the regs. It's in the same section as insecticides.)

Consider Febreze. Doesn't this ad suggest it's safe to inhale?

If you are so inclined, compared the MSDS for Febreze published by P & G with the test results of the Environmental Working Group.

And the FDA keeps the money that the vendor paid just to have the FDA say NO. That money is not refundable. Cash cow anyone?

Errr...

BT is probably going to take some of it too. Who else has the stake in the game and the resources and facilities to host the testing site(s)?

Sent from my device.

It has occurred to me that BT is making crap e-cigs just to get their foot in the door. They wouldn't want to make a huge investment until the regulations are determined. After which they can buy up popular businesses that can't afford (or don't want to pay) to meet the requirements. How fast do you think Eleaf would sell the Istick to RJ Reynolds if the price was right?

No one thinks it's a sin or a sign of moral weakness if you want to use air freshener.

True, but consumers are encouraged to spray Febreze on fabrics where the little ones put their faces. And Air Freshener! What could be better for you than Fresh Air?
