ugh.
my tritons arent working out,
the taste is too harsh.

i can only use the mini tanks.
what's up with that?

no i am thinking of rebuying the same darn kit i returned!
have bought some other batteries as well
and they are crap!
one cost me a ton of money!
its unusable.

what the heck was i thinking.

if it aint broke don't fix it i guess.

seems the cigalikes are the way to go!

are the halo G6's 808?
just wondering if any of my current takes will work with them.

looks like i'm going shopping again, yes again.

i'll be cigalike master lol.

too bad they don't have a 2.5ml tank for a cigalike lol

I guess I'm confused on what your chasing and have you given ANY of the set ups you have a fair chance? It seems like your all over the board, spending a boat load of money (hey, which is ok since it's your cash) on set ups, tanks, coils, juices ..with not the best results. Saw on another thread, same day as this one, purchasing an Innokin VV..not sure how this fits into "if its not broke, don't fix it and cig alikes are the way to go" comment, but good luck with another new PV. Keep us posted how that goes for you.

Maybe the tank/set up isn't giving harsh hits as much as the juices, nic level or vaping technique your using? IDK, just seems like a lot of strange variables that an actual PV/tank/coil isn't necessarily causing all these issues or will completely fix for that matter. I know finding the right juices is tough at times especially if you have specific tastes.

IMO, I think carts are what you need if you haven't tried them already. I thought they muted the taste a little/a lot less throat hit and I don't care for mini tanks because of the same issue which is opposite of what you like. Maybe the VV is the way to go because you can play w/the volts and get a more mild flavor, especially in the lower volts but I also find lower volts diminishes vapor production but at this point for you, whatever works, right? If you do get the VV soon, play with it awhile before jumping the band wagon again. It took me two weeks of constant playing to appreciate what it can do.

Good luck, RELAX, enjoy and vape away...

i determined today, after my first diy flavors, it's the juices.

i purchased that one awhile ago, still don't have a working one, two DOA
won a battery in a contest, never charged. lol.

And i did notice that i liked my flavors the most right before the battery dies... id' be like whoa now that's some good stuff, and 15 minutes later its dead lol.

but I just made a bubblegum with some menthol in my triton and i can't put it down.

really all i have is triton, spinner, 2 egos, 2 esmarts, and well the itaste vv is being returned and refunded. it was the 10s kit, don't get that one, it doesn't even have ego threads ... right?

but yes this was all stuff i bought when i decided to give up triton for that like week. mind you the egos and esmarts were less than $10 a piece, the problem is clearos and tanks..

was..

And my taste buds must have changed or maybe i got juices mixed up... here's what i did, i was like omgod i love this flavor what is it, oh its mistic.

since i loved what i thought was mistic i bought like 8 different tanks right, filled them all with mystic, spent an entire day on each tank trying to vape it. yuck couldn't stand it.

luckily when i bought 3 bottles of mystic i also bought 2 bottles of cool mist,
loaded cool mist yesterday, and was like omgod, this is the one i liked, not the other one. wth!

i liked it in every tank i tried.

crazy right?

just for the record i would like to say in my defense,
my husband is deployed i have two teenage boys, a fresh 2 year old daughter, my best/friend grandma just passed.
i'm sleep deprived, as my daughter keeps me up all hours of the night and then my son wakes me for a freaking ride cuz he missed the bus again..
so i believe the lack of sanity is due to this with the combination of giving up smokes, trying to run a household full of little people really trying to run me.
did i mention i have 3 cats? lol.

so yeah, that's my defense. lol.
but you know what, i'm figuring this out.
i think if i cut mystic with my pg/vg mix i'll real happy with it.

cool mist is spot on, and this bubblegum i'm vaping right now is awesome.

and yeah. relax. i think tonight is gonna be a wine kinda night, lol.

luckily my hubby called yesterday after 3 months of not talking or getting any emails! (he's on a sub) and he's totally fine with the money i spent and is completely excited about every cigarette i don't smoke.
and says it sounds like an awesome hobbie as far as learning diy juice. and is happy for me to be so excited about everything. so that relieved majority of my stress.

and you know what, i finished xmas shopping a month ago... so maybe by xmas i'll have it all worked out and it will be a stress free holiday!

i did find that vv for $25 the ego thread one, so yeah baby lol.

thanks for the support and yes i'm a crazy lady with alot going on lol.

oops was that a vent or what? hahahaha.

I get its a lot going on and I had issues when I first started. I made the HUGE mistake of quitting smoking first, then a week later got my G6. My nic fits were thru the roof and honestly, he probably doesn't even know this, but if it weren't Jefsview, I would have quit vaping all together if he didn't explain burnt hits/dry wicks. I was honestly ready to kill people LMAO!

Actually I owe my quit success to him, Halo and quite a few Halo peeps. BUT...I didn't chase another PV because I knew, my taste buds are whack (actually had vapors tongue for 9 days w/in a week of vaping, then AGAIN in the third week), I already researched to death and that's how I picked Halo to begin with, I needed to find the best nic level and find juices I could tolerate at the moment. I stuck w/99% Halo flavors, the rest sucked and actually most still do. The only upgrades I made were batts/tanks w/in the Halo lineup.

After 1.5-2 months, I then upgraded to the Halo VV knowing that Halo hasn't let me down and my taste buds have calmed down and I'm nailing down my ADV. I guess my point is take it slow, know that ur going thru a lot of :censored: right now and wait it out till you get the hang of things so that you're next purchases are worth the time, money and effort.

Sure, I've thought about other PVs now that its been almost 3 months of vaping (that's how I saw the Innokin post because I searched the VV V3) only because I wanted to see what the differences are in top/bottom coil as well as glass tanks, but then I think...why? I'm pretty happy where I am and reading about all these issues peeps have w/tanks, leaks, coils....I've got it good w/my Halo VV.

Heh, for what it's worth, Ladiekali, I made exactly the same mistake with Mystic and Cool Mist. I thought Mystic was the pleasantly mild menthol flavor I liked out of the menthol sampler, but it was really Cool Mist. Mystic's ever-so-slightly-but-nonetheless-crucially more aggressive, too aggressive for me to vape over any considerable period.

It's kinda odd to find that I'm a picky vaper, because I'm quite possibly the least picky eater on the planet, and I'm used to (happy with) my typically low standards for flavor. But for whatever reason, I can only stand a relative few of the many many juices I've tried so far (from multiple vendors, not just Halo), and of those few there are only a tiny handful that I'd consider buying in any meaningful quantity.

Thank god I chose Turkish with my first order. I bought lots of it blind, and it's still my favorite. In retrospect, that seems extraordinarily lucky.

Anyway, don't feel bad for chasing the dragon as it were. Just try to keep in mind that the grass isn't always greener; in any hobby, it's easy to get carried away looking for perfection. If you enjoy the journey, then great, but it's dangerous (financially, anyway) to get too carried away with the outcome. It sounds like you've found a solution that works at least for moment, and I'm glad.

(BTW, if you find that you enjoy the end of the Triton battery's charge most, you might want to try setting the VV battery to ~3.3-3.5 volts, assuming that you use a coil with the same resistance on your VV device. Me? I'm the opposite; I enjoy the beginning of the battery most, but I'm not a menthol person.)

What's most important is that you're making a good faith effort to reduce your smoking, and that your husband is supportive. I wish you good luck and continued success. :)

It occurs to me that these Halo juices, with a high ratio of PG, may not be for you.

For me, it happens with 50/50 PG/VG in the Triton as well. The Triton "sprays" too much and my immune system/throat cannot handle it. I also have allergies and wonder if that has something to do with it. All juices, regardless of their PG/VG makeup work well for me in the G6.

I had the nose drips too; it took a long time for it to stop. I think it has to do with how we exhale; the flavor is stronger if we exhale through our nose, but you can exhale both ways, just like the analogs, and still get the flavor.

I got a sample of a rare flavor that tastes different from inhale to exhale; pretty freaky.

i dont deal with magic or sourcery! like math and science and lime jello, it is the work of evil!

@wheezal - You are definitely the class comedian.

You know the difference between the class clown and the class comedian?

The class clown is the one streaking across campus in the middle of the day....the class comedian is the one who talked them into doing it :D

hahahah,
i know,
i love it with the minitank.
but it looks so darn funny.
like a needle.
i got kids, 2 teens and a two year old, makes me feel funny having it out.

You can always get the longer Triton cone and file it down until you reach a diameter slightly larger than the minitank.
Of course you would then carefully clean up your work and remove/pretty up all sharp edges.

This would end up looking a lot better for you, and if you get good at modifying them precisely, you can start playing with different
air flow and really get the drag resistance customized...

Just an idea, have a great day!
