Dear Vapers,

I have a noisy cricket and been using it as it was advised. Two separate batteries (LGDBHE41865)that were used only in the noisy and been charged always together.
Lately the negative polarity started oxidize. My friend suggested to get rid of them as soon as possible. I admit that I should avoid using it in the noisy but I'd use it another one battery mecha mod. I know that the battery safety is a serious issue but if there is a way I'd use the one on the image below in the future separately!
What do you guys think? Thank you very much in advance,
Kind Regards,
Peter

I strip my mechs down and scrub them in dish soap (its good for cutting through grease), then I clean contacts and contact points (battery contacts, threads, ect), with 'Nolax' or rubbing alcohol.

Thank you mine was arcing so bad the other day i was getting sparks around the fire button, I cleaned the whole thing with rubbing alcohol and it seems to have solved it.

That's pretty much what I did but q tips and rubbing alcohol it definitely made a difference

Sorry for the late reply. I shouls have said to use q-tips,sorry. It will make a huge difference because if the threads and contact points get too dirty its nolonger the easyest way for the current to get to the atty (or tank), thus it will find other ways. Hence the arcing.

Arcing will also put a strain your batterys, so its probably best to retire them.

Glad it worked out for you.

The Batts are literally brand new LG HB6 with less than 2 cycles on them. I'm not worried about them I caught it very quickly.

The batteries I was using in the cricket all got recycled a couple weeks ago when my Illumn order came in.

I am really careful with batteries they aren't expensive and not worth playing games with. I probably only put 100 cycles on my cricket batteries before I toss them.

Its always good to hear people putting battery safety first :thumb:
