So I asked the guy at the vapeshop here can I use the same coil after I vaped with a dif juice idk if it's me but should I change the coil before switching flavors? I can smell the flavors and taste them sometimes but not always?.
yeah that's pretty much a personal call...depending on what you are using you may get a blend of the two flavors or not notice at all and maybe only for the first bit until the new flavor saturates the coil....
or you can clean the coil and let it dry (usually over night) before putting in the new juice. or if impatient like i am, press it dry with a cloth (something that won't leave lent or whatnot) and then add a little juice and vape, yeah it's gonna be watered down for a bit hehehe
For me changing the coil at juice change kinda depends on a couple of factors.
1. How long have I been vaping that coil? Is it starting to put out less vapor or an off flavor? If so Change it.
2. Are the old flavor and the new one flavors that go together to my taste? (ie 2 fruits) If so leave the coil if not change it. Some flavors are just nasty when combines and it is inevitable there will be bleed over.
Assuming the coil is still good, for me it depends on if the flavor profiles are similar. If they are similar, from one dessert to another, one fruit to another etc, I just fill right in. If I'm majorly changing flavor profiles I will change my coil. Might not be a bad idea to get a couple different tanks for easy flavor changes - and backups are always a good thing to have.
I use 3 of the same tanks/coils for my ADV gear so switching flavors is usually in the same flavor profile and not a problem. But as others have stated if you mix two that do not play nice it is time for a new coil and a quick rinse of the tank.
I change flavors in multiple tanks/RTA's several times a day. Good thing about TC is you can just vape them basically dry, add your new flavor & off you go...
I change my coils when they get clogged, burnt or just plain nasty. I never change them because I'm changing flavors, within 1/2 of a tank the new flavor comes in.
If it's something that you don't like (to mix the flavours), instead of switching coils, buy more tanks and keep each tank dedicated to a particular flavour.
Alternate, get some unflavoured liquid and vape a 1/2 tank's worth to get most of the flavouring out.
I find that if there's any cinnamon in the flavor it sticks around awhile. This isn't always bad though, I had bought some Teleos Beans which is a vanilla custard flavor and it was bad. I added some Milk2 when the tank was low and got a nice mix from the flavor.
It will taste "interesting" for a while, and some stronger flavors simply don't go away at all. Whether or not this bothers you is up to you. One of the big reasons I like to build my own coils is this problem can be eliminated by changing the wick in the existing coil.
If the flavour is really strong like some mentioned clean the tank a few times and run a ml or so of unflavoured through it till it starts to go dry. Like steam cleans the wick.

Take a clr coil for example , one can pull cotton out dry burn coil insert new cotton put few drops of e-liquid and good to go.
Course some coils are not rebuildable makeiing the above exempt.
Another reason I like my RTAs. A quick cleanup and rewick and on to another flavor. My factory coil tanks stay pretty much dedicated to whatever juice they're used with.
