I'm looking for my next mech, and I wanted the Poldiac clone, but then found out you can't do sub-ohm with it, so I can't use it. I started looking around, hoping to find another side button mech, but they seem quite hard to come by, so I started looking at bottom button mechs, which I've had two of, and didn't much like because I could not set them down without either having to lock the button every time or the mech rocking around and falling over.

So now I'm looking at the hcigar Nemisis clone at Vapor Royalty, and wondering is it going to have the same problems my other bottom button mechs had? Can I set it down standing up and not have it wobbling around on it's button? Do I have to get the magnet kit for it? I've seen bottom button mechs that can be stood up on their button and be perfectly stable and not wobble around, so if the Nemesis will do that I'm good with it.

1) wobbly buttons solution A)
You can look a recessed buttons firing buttons mechs, google search will show you a bunch.

2) Mangets on Nemmy
Definitely, the clones springs are made very cheap, the magnets you get will depend how stable it is, the cheap magnets will require three to keep standing, if you opt for high end magnet upgrades, two at the most

3) other option, good stingray clone
My fasttech Stingray polish B, i unlocked and put a fully filled kayfun lite plus with all steel tubing, it stand still and does not fire

Nemmy and Stingray clone are the same price.

Join us in the APV discussion if you need more help, bunch of nice folks there helping each other out.

It depends entirely on the strength of the spring, or magnet. On my K100 clone, depending on the topper, I would have to remember to lock it.

On my Galileo, the magnets were soo strong, that even with a Fogger V3 it wouldn't push the button. My new V3 Flip's button is pretty damn strong too, haven't had it fire setting it down yet, but I still take the extra second to make sure it is locked. For me, it just helps because I also like to build my coils on it, and it helps reinforce the safety so I don't join the FIC club when attaching coils to the atomizer.

On my copper nemesis clone I got the nemesis upgrade from fatdaddyvapes. Came with magnets and extended contacts. That being said.... i have (in my experience) had nothing but problems with my nemesis clone. It's so finicky getting it set up correctly and having to adjust the top contact and bottom contact so it will fire. Lots of misfires. It's still a great mod, don't get me wrong. I have just had a lot of problems with it. Personally if you are willing to put down a little extra I would suggest the brass chi you clone. It's a wonderful clone that I have had no problems with. :D

Well I stopped at a local B&M, where they had the Nemesis clone I was looking for, brass on steel, but they wanted $70 + tax, for it, and for $52 I can get the same thing from Vapor Royalty, with the magnets, so I didn't get it at the store. I'm not rich. I just ordered it from Vape Royalty, brass on steel, with magnets. My Sigelei 24 is having button issues and I'm tired of that.

if you're not rich you should have used fasttech and you would have got everything for under 25 w/magnets..
Few things tho..
~The nemmy will have a little bit of a learning curve
~The lock ring likes to get stuck, very thin so needs little pressure and try not to squeeze or it will make it harder to turn.
~ You need to play with the throw on the switch to find the right spot with the battery config. Otherwise will end up with very crunchy feeling.
~ I think I used a small oring to secure the bottom screw, as it like to get undone.

I knew about Fasttech, but didn't want to wait 10 weeks to get it, like I did with my last order from them. Sounds like I'll have to fiddle with it a bit to get it working right, but as long as it doesn't have button misfires and weak fires I'm okay with that. I need it to fire and hit hard, every time, and I don't want to have to mess around with it all the time.

honestly I was really ...... with fasttech for a bit but now things are better. Last order came under 9 days.. I can live with that. But generally yes, you do not order from them if needing anything in a hurry.
Just be cautious and use proper batteries with higher amp limits while sub puffin..

I would just order a few to have choices for mechs.. The Chi you is a good one, so is the gp, and panzer looks like a hard hitter. Once you get your nemmy, now you can afford to wait for the cheaper mods from over seas.

I like the idea of a recessed bottom button--but how would you lock those?

I have a stingray clone and the magnetic button is pretty nice. There is a bit of a wobble but that can be reduced by shortening the throw.

That's just the thing. If it's recessed, then it's locked. I don't have a recessed one, but I do have an Atomo (V2) that has a button that sits flush. Because of this, I can set it down on any flat surface and the button can't be pushed. I suppose you could have a problem where if you have it in your pocket something else in your pocket could push the button in. Also on the Atomo, you can extend the lock so the button is recessed. I believe if you unscrew the lock all the way it locks the button so that even if something got up in there the button still wouldn't move.

That being said, I have an HCigar Nemesis clone and I love it. I never used the springs though, I got the magnet set and the mod at the same time. The magnets that came with it were not quite strong enough to make it so that it could stand on it's own without firing, but I had an extra set I had bought when I ordered a FT Nemesis clone a while back (I had to return it because of terrible threading). I only needed one of the magnets from the other set. Putting an extra one in there made it perfect. I guess you just need the right balance. You can get these magnets from other places in varying strangth. Not sure how hard it is to find the right strangth, I may have just gotten lucky. I think this has a lot less to do with the actual mod though. I was thinking about getting that pin extension at some point, just to mess with it. I'm wondering if that extension just causes problems. Either way, good luck!

With Fasttech it can take from 2 to 4 weeks normally depending on your luck :) considering you get the same product for a fraction of the price and free shipping it's not a bad deal
I don't like the threads on the nemesis the bottom threading is so fine it easily strips happened to me after just a few months
I recently got a few King mods and there way better more solid construction and thicker more durable threading :) they also hit way harder There only 24.00 at Fasttech

I bought all 3 of my nemesis from them but not their magnetic switch conversion which they offer. It tried one of theirs and with a kayfun lite plus on it the thing would fire from the weight. I went with the switch magnets from FatDaddyVapes.com and his contact pins. Probably one of the best bottom buttons I've tried to date. Oh and I got the copper, brass and stainless as well as 3 sets of aluminium tubes in black, red and blue from Fasttech. I can now pretty much do what I like on any given day. Kind of fun mixing and matching these things.

well i have a FT nemmy and it is almost flawless, i hear it is one of the better clones out there (most likely your shop has the FT version anywau :p) shipping is quite quick is you wanna spend the extra 3 bucks (in canada anyway) takes most of my packages 8 days to get to me.

EDIT: just looked at one of my tracking numbers and it took three days to get from china to canada.....not bad.

I can set my nemesis on the button with a kayfun on it and have no problems with it firing. I bought the magnets to upgrade it but have not used them the spring set up works really well on mine. :2c:

Exactly the same for me. (Except I use a Taifun).

I bought lots of magnets and haven't bothered to install a pair yet.... I love it as it is.

I suspect a 22mm Kayfun lite (on order) would look better still.

Thank you for the advice, but I'm quite an experienced mech/RBA user. As for FT I've read far too many stories like my own on these forums to order from them again.

That's not good. I'm not sure what a Kayfun Lite wieghs, but I'm topping it with an RSST. I think it might be lighter than the KF Lite.
