I've used nothing but 801 carts since after a month with an NPro. First a penstyle and then Janty Stick. I would recommend nothing but the 801's. Capacity is the highest of any. Atomizers, I prefer the low-bridge. But there are no secrets, except that whatever your 'filler' or wick is, must have just the correct density, 'nother words, it has to hold the liquid, but also has to alow enough room between the fibers for the atty to pull down more juice, in a 'wicking' manner, it can't be packed in too tight.....I use wool felt as a filler, but doesn't matter which you use. It must be exactly the right density or you will have trouble.
If you have to puff too hard, pull some of the fibers out, little at a time until it's just right. You can tell by the amount of vapor. Too thin, you need to refill more often and risk flooding the atty, so change it with a proper one.
Battery/atty connection must be tight and dry. When you push your cart in (And I do mean push/pull,
NEVER TWIST IT IN AND OUT) the
filler only must be touching the bridge for correct draw. Don't allow the white plastic to touch the bridge.
I use a piece of folded paper a 1/4 inch wide, place it on the bridge and then crease it where the edge of the atty hits it. Then measure your cart from the ridge on the mouthpiece to the end of the cart. I'll make you a bet, your cart is either too short, or too long.
(Nothing is standardized, dealer to dealer) If the cart is too short, simply pull the wicking out of the holder a bit to give you the right length, plus a little for play. Cart should be well wetted but not puddled. If the cart is too long, (plastic part touches the bridge) then cut off and 1/8th of an inch of the cart holder with a small sharp scissors. Pull the wicking just past the edge of the cart holder. OH: line up the wide part of the cart with the direction of the bridge. Alignment of those two can be critical as well. (check 1 o'clock bridge, insert cart at the same angle, 1 0'clock.)
I can guarantee with
loooong, gentle puffs you will have no problems at all. A lot of people puff way too hard, pulls more juice from the atty than it can heat.
Good vapor produced by length of time atty is engaged, gently puffing clear up until cut-off, you'll have tons of vapor with a good flavor.The reason you should never twist a cart into any atty is because of the shape of the bridge. Twisting will give the bridge the action of a lever, will push the filler material up and away from it, or at the very least snag filler material into the mesh. That cuts air flow.
And of course, fillers have to be replaced occasionally, they get 'felted' and bunched, just dirty from juice residue. That cuts down on wicking ability.
I've used a Janty Stick since June, and the only time there's trouble is 1)atty is fouled up, replace it. 2) Cart filler bunched up or dirty, replace it. 3)atty not sufficiently tightened onto battery connection.
I can sit here at the PC and puff away for a couple hours with one cartful, good vapor and flavor throughout.
