so my pharaoh 25 drip tip melted for the second time and since it seems to be a proprietary size the atty is effectively dead :/

I am trying to replace it and ordered a wasp rdta and an iJoy rdta 5 from FT. The wasp is en route, but the iJoy lists as “restocking”.
I am not sure the device is even still made so I don’t know if this “restocking” will ever take place. I’m not sure what my best next move is.

1. Simply wait in faithfor the iJoy to arrivesome day
2. Cancel the order and live with just the wasp which I suspect is too small
3. Cancel the order and drop $50 on a vgod vapetrick pro r2. A dual coil rdta that also has a proprietary drip tip

None of these solutions sounds great to me.

Any opinions? Suggestions? Better ideas?

Don't cancel the order. While you're waiting order the vgod vapetrick pro r2. That way you'll have something to use in case the Wasp is too small. Then if the ijoy arrives you'll have backup. You can always cancel the ft order later.
I see your point, but This cost me a Benjamin total, and potentially leaves me with 3 RDTAs which is two more than I really want. Plus I’m no more excited about the vgod than I am about the wasp. I prefer single coil attys. Dual coil attyshave always been adventures in coil balancing. I really really should have bought an avacado back when they could still be gotten. Why did they stop making the things anyway?

They always stop making the good things. I don't know why but it happens all the time.

The Kaees Solomon V2 is a single coil Genisis style rta (aka, GTA) that you might like.

I have the original, which is a dual coil and the build quality is outstanding.

I can't say how the V2 vapes, but the original has flavor that rivals an rda.

It would help if we knew your requirements. Based on your post I surmise the following:
  • Single coil RDA
  • 24mm-25mm in diameter preferred
  • Non-proprietary drip tip

Open questions:
  • What size drip tip is preferred? 510, 810, Goon style?
  • If 510 is preferred are you OK with using an 810 to 510 adapter?
  • Are clones OK or prefer originals only?
  • Air flow (low, medium, high, adjustable)?
I will say that 25mm single coils are kind of rare. Most in this size range are dual coil. But with the above questions answered, I think we can find something that fits the bill.

Size is not that great a consideration. I can take anything up to 30mm

  • Anything is fine. I’ll take what I can get

  • Again I’m not picky. I am a DL vaper though so higher airflow is better. The only thing I don’t want is a painted clone atty. They never last. Generally they’re painted because they’re made of inferior material and as soon as you scratch the paint the thing turns poisonous.

Good thought the Solomon though is listing as an RTA unfortunately. I’m hoping for an RDTA because they’re much less trouble to wick and tend to leak less. That pharoah25 was my pocket mod for a couple years there.
My therion bf with a pulse on it is proving equally leak resistant, but it chews through batteries and is enoughof a pain to change batteries on I actually usb charge it when possible.

I skipped the single coil due to weak flavor reports.

I understand.

The V2 Solomon has a top airflow design, which is supposed to reduce leaking substantially.

I like Gennie style RTAs because they're wicked similarly to an RDTA.
