Should I shake my new e-liquids?

I'm new here, but I started smoking a vaporizer about a week ago. I was a PAD smoker for almost ten years. I haven't smoked in six days now.

I just got an order delivered from Mt. Baker Vapor and it said to shake well before using my new e-liquids. However, when I originally went to the local vape shop, they said not to shake up the bottles because air bubbles kill nicotine.

Is that true or is it OK to shake my new bottles of liquid? Also, will shaking it speed up the steeping process?

What? It's in a solution. The nicotine is fine. Always shake up your liquid. I do it before each time I use a bottle. I'm not too worried about nicotine separation, but flavoring and VG&PG will have some sort of separation, not much though. When I usually get a new bottle, I'll let it sit for a week or so. Each time I'm around it, I'll shake it really well.

My local store, Juicy Vapors, said to always shake your juice! They even have a sign up telling you to shake your own juice. I've noticed that when I don't the flavor is not as good. There is also the possibility of the ingredients separating. As suspectK said if you can leave the new juice alone for a time the flavors just get better

If I could only offer one piece of advice to a new vaper, it would be SHAKE THE BOTTLE. And then SHAKE IT SOME MORE. It took me awhile to remember to do that. I can recall at least one instance with me where I filled up the clearo, took a couple of hits, looked at the bottle which said "Shake Well" (I hadn't). I dumped the clearo, shook the bottle and refilled, and it was a different juice!

Actually, air probably DOES degrade the nic a bit and obsessively shaking a bottle 20 times a day for the whole week of use is a bit much.

I fully agree that everyone should shake their new e-juice very well. Just don't obsess over the shaking. I wonder if some juice recipes separate more than others too....

Meh. I over-analyzed again. :)

Shake it before every fill. If its new juice and you have other juices let it sit a week or so shaking it a few times daily and also squeezing bottle every so often to get old air out and new air in.
I've also heard and have done myself putting a brand new bottle in very warm water and simmering for about 30 mins. Make sure to not have the water too got or it could damage the bottle
If its plastic. This thins out the liquid and supposedly speeds up steeping process.
Research steeping and you'll see a lot of different methods and its not always needed either. It depends if it was made fresh that day or if its been sitting on a shelf premade prior to shipping.

I definitely understand I should let it steep. It's just that I really wanna give it a taste straight out of the package. I'm just curious if it will steep the liquid I put in the tank, if I decide I wasn't a fan of it straight away.
I don't see why it wouldn't really, its just really letting everything "meld" so to speak. Or better yet just pour it back into the bottle. I have done that many times and its not hard if you pull off the tip on the bottle. I also only put a little bit of juice in a tank first time to test it. Just enough to get the wicks "wicked" so as not to get a dry hit etc.
I'm sure many others have methods that work well for them. A lot of folks do dripping when its new stuff to get an immediate hit and taste I haven't ventured into that yet but am looking into it.
