Been looking at the eGo for a bit now and assumed they were 510 threads but on one site it talked about an eGo thread.......there's a difference? Just checking since I use cartomizers most of the time I was assuming I'd grab the eGo battery and then some 510 carts and I'd be good. Am I off base? Are eGo's only for use with tanks? I'm currently using the V2 280maH batteries and they are a POS and use the 801 carts but need to upgrade as I find myself going back to analogs far too often.

Help is appreciated.

Ditto on all points. It sounds like the vendor you are looking at confused this with a poorly worded description. All eGo stuff is 510 threaded regarding connecting cartos, attys, tanks etc. So getting the stuff that counts to connect - the stuff that vaporizes liquids - all 510 is good.

As noted an eGo battery does has a second set of larger threads. That's what the cone (aka cover) threads on to. It's only important to know that should you want to buy a cover - that needs to be specific to eGo batteries. If buying a bare battery it doesn't come with a cover. Covers are supplied in complete kits. The cover stream lines the look of an eGo when using standard size cartos or attys and covers a healthy part of a carto. It's not really necessary to buy a cover and many people just prefer using an eGo battery without one to get better draw. Bottom line: Getting a cover or not is largely a cosmetic issue.
