If I answer yes is that to staying on youtube or being flagged and taken down?? Can't answer, bad wording, sorry. I would have answered ~ DUH!! of course flagged and taken down, I want to continue to vape. I don't do it to be cool. It saved my life.

yeah, it was my first time making a poll, can you tell?

NO is the one you want to pick.

No problem Victory, I did read further and answered no.

Our government make everything so taboo to kids that it makes the temptation for them that much stronger. If its not alcohol or tobacco, it will be weed or things much worse. All they have to do is go in the cleaning supply aisles and get all kinds of huffin stuff. the kids seen on these videos more than likely got their supplies from their parents.

My 16 year old daughter started smoking last year...I didn't like it one bit but I knew she was doing it. When I started vaping, I showed her my pv and let her try it. Guess what she is no longer smoking cigarettes, she vapes...given the choice of either, I would prefer her be vaping. And before you judge me as a parent, teens are going to smoke cigarettes even if it is against their parents rules. They will just sneak and do it. I am not the kind of parent who is going to pretend that if I forbid something, it won't happen. That is how my parents were and guess what, I started smoking at age 15 and finally quit when I began vaping in October.

I never provided cigarettes for my kid, but I will make sure she has vaping hardware/juice if it means she won't smoke another analog.

If you are going to flag videos of kids vaping then you better be flagging all the other stuff that they are not not supposed to be doing as minors too. Drinking, fighting, smoking, and everything else...otherwise you are no different than the people who are against vaping for adults as well.

I think people of any age should be allowed to vape and purchase supplies. I think kids that smoke should switch to vaping and also help their smoker freinds convert.

I do not think that kids posting a video of them vaping on youtube should be allowed for the whole public to see.

Polititions who make money off big tobacco, the same ones that shuttled in a bus load of paid off highschoolers to the massachussets ban hearing, and news reporters dying for a anti anything story can use these videos as evidence to ban electronic cigarettes.

I want to vape. I don't want to lose MY ability to have MY e-cigs. This is why i fight to get these videos taken down.

Indeed. This is a very poorly worded poll. I would say the results are completely inconclusive. It sounds like a poll a politician would write.

quoted from the 1st OP post of the thread directly underneath the poll

Should videos of minors vaping stay on youtube or be flagged and taken down?

yes = stay
no = flag and take down

That should be all the clarification anybody would need right?

I read the thread prior to participating in the poll. I had to go back and find what yes and no meant. I noticed in the thread a lot of folks were confused. This poll ask two questions and yes/no means a different result for each question asked. That is all I am saying.

I read the poll and voted before I read the thread. I voted yes, obviously they should be left alone or flagged and taken down, as I couldn't find another alternative. I don't believe minors should be allowed have videos of them vaping or smoking on youtube, not because they do not do it, but because it shouldn't be encouraged to those who do neither one.

Then I read the thread ... and the first post, and my vote does not reflect what I believe either, but its done.

My 16 year old daughter started smoking last year...I didn't like it one bit but I knew she was doing it. When I started vaping, I showed her my pv and let her try it. Guess what she is no longer smoking cigarettes, she vapes...given the choice of either, I would prefer her be vaping. I won't judge you, if you don't judge me. I believe all parents should do what they think is best for their kids. I agree that vaping is better than smoking for you. If that works for you, great, however for me it just doesn't work.

It should be made perfectly clear here that I do not think Sharpi is a bad parent, she notices what her kid is doing and makes an effort to make it better.

My kids were not allowed to do either one, and no they won't sneak around and do it anyways. I get a case of redass, and then they might get a case of the red .... They will remember it, believe that. For me it worked, for you it might not. My kids have no illusion that I'm right, unbiased, or fair all of the time. They do know I love them, but I made the rules, until they were on their own. They tended to follow them pretty well, because I can be a complete jerk, and will stick my nose where my child just doesn't want it to be when suspicious.

Does that make me a bad parent?

The funny thing, I don't care if anyone judges me regarding that, because in the end, I have to do it. That is the bottom line, my kids, my responsibility, my problem. I don't expect other people to do it for me.

Some people do not have a problem with their kids smoking, vaping, or doing whatever. My kids didn't have that luxury. I don't think they need to do any of those things as a child, and therefore were not allowed to. I used to smoke, and now I vape. I'm an adult, and when my kids became adults, then they can make that decision. However as a child, they didn't have that choice, it was already made for them.

I think people of any age should be allowed to vape and purchase supplies.

I disagree with this. My children did not do either one. Should a vendor be able to attempt to persuade them to try this out? If they really want them, they will get them, but I don't think I want to empower the vendors to do this. Should vendors be able to show up in grade school and offer your kids vaping supplies?

I'm not opposed to minors carrying vaping or even tobacco supplies, but let someone who is responsible do the purchasing of them first. If the person is trying to quit smoking and is a minor, and has support, they shouldn't have an issue getting what they need.

I think 18 is realistic for both smoking and vaping supplies, as it will discourage vendors from being in places they shouldn't, and it also discourages vendors from promoting the sales of these items to minors. That is the real purpose behind it.

That being said, most vendors are very conscious of who they want to sell to, but they really have no control over that online. They also have no desire to show up in grade schools with vaping supplies. There are many excellent vendors out there, but all it takes is one that has no common sense to hurt them all.

Raising the age past that, just keeps them out of places that the people there should be able to make a reasonable choice anyways, and has no purpose in my honest opinion.

Sorry, I just don't care for this idea, its nothing personal.

My kid doesn't know what nicotine addiction is. She THINKS she does. But I DIY and her juice is made with 0 nic. (She has no clue!) She chooses to vape rather than smoke analogs. I gave her an alternative to analogs and she jumped at it. I prefer her vaping a flavored 0 nic juice over smoking analogs. If the nic was needed to make it work...I would still favor it over analogs.

Kids are picking up e cigs so they can vape chocolate and strawberries. NOT bc they are trying to get healthy. Those kids don't even know what a nicotine addiction is, please.
