Should we be preparing for E day ??,
or do we think its a long way of yet??

I know here in the uk they are not looking to ban but regulate or the NHS will be the only ones who can administrate them etc either way I'm maybe thinking I should be buying juice now in bigger quantitys and battery etc. ..any thoughts guys???

I predict with the amount of information out there right now, the direction this community will move in, when and if e-cigs are regulated, will be DIY. Long lasting mods, DIY flavoring for juices and concentrated nicotine liquid are the things i have stocked up right now. Even if the FDA bans ecigs completely, i will still be vaping away.

Hmm yes I can see that now you say it, but we are not quite their with long lasting yet I dont think... but my knowledge is limited...

D.I.y I must admit is becoming more and more popular lately that's for sure.. some sounds complicated but I guess its a learning curve..

Its quite worrying the fact that as quick as tomorrow it could be stopped and a lot will be left with no option but to hit the smokes again....

I for on never want to touch nor will go back to smoking which is why I wondered should I/we get ready..

It doesnt matter what they want you to do... Its no use being all paranoid and conspiracy theorist about it.

Its a simple matter: dont know what will happen? Prepare for all of them. If you can mix your own juices, have a few rebuildables in hands, and ability to make a mod out of a flashlight, you will be set no matter what.

Spoken like a true newbie. You have no idea how close a nationwide ban was in 2009. 1000's of us had items we purchased confiscated and lost our money. They are moving to regulate it in a manner that will be close to a ban if they can figure out a way to do it legally. All they have to do is make nicotine a controlled substance that can't be easily obtained. Then reguire 10 years of reseach and study and limit products to Big Pharm with 2 & 4mg nicotine limits and no flavoring and vaping business's will die quickly. We will then be turned into Black Market users who will be taking bigger and bigger financial risks.

I don't know for sure that will happen but if the many groups aligned against vaping can provide a strong enough front to the FDA, it could happen because groups like ASH (US) want to kill vaping completely. Way too many people on ECF alone take vaping for granted. How many join and support CASAA?? A very small percentage, unfortunately.

Full mech mods .......check
Batteries ......... they can't ban those.
RBAs .......check
Kanthal and ss mesh ..... can't ban those.
Flavorings ......... can't ban those because they are used for many other things.
Nic base ......... large order coming on Monday. Glass bottles to store product in freezer which should last for years.
PG/VG ....... can't ban those.

I'm good for about five years on nic base so by then I should be able to ween myself off nic. I'm down to 6mg now. They can't touch me!;)

I have purchased a few mechanical mods, 100+ cartos, and some extra ego type bats. Also have several liters of 36mg juice and am slowly stockpiling my favorite pre-made juices. I figure I have about 2 years or more before I will be SOL. If nothing happens, then I have not wasted anything...just invested in my future.

Sorry but what evidence do you have that they'll ban e-cigs here?

Thats what I thought, I was under the impression the FDA may but the uk regulator body Is not looking to do that at all.. instead regulate..?

Why would all these vendors with huge banners on every page shouting about the impending downfall of the entire industry and banning of all e-cigs be trying to scare you into stocking up and buying huge quantities of products from them? Idk...perhaps to make $? All the FDA did was propose a 'deeming' regulation...that's it. But the way it's presented is buy everything now before it's all gone! The simple fact is no one know what will happen but in all likelihood they won't decimate an entire industry and leave billions of tax revenue on the table. The most $ can be made by simply regulating nic-juice so it can be taxed. What that will entail and how they'll do it is anyone's guess but I for one am not too worried about it...if it passes we'll have at least 2 months before it goes into effect to buy up all the juice we can get out hands on.

This is what I'm thinking, too. Why would they ban e-cigs and leave regular tobacco products legal [for adults]?

I hate to think that I'm into yet another thing that's being targeted by the Feds. (AR-15 owner)
