That is the VCMT the biggest rta available on the smallest regulated mod available (maybe not now)

Looks funny
Yeah was at my favorite B&M, had to have a laugh.

This is what I run it on -

What type of mod is that? I see lots of these? How do they compare to dual battery mods? Obviously probably don't last as long?
It's a mech. In my opinion, the only backup mod is a mechanical tube. There are no parts (other than springs or magnets--easily replaceable) that wear out. A mech is unregulated so you have to build for your preferred vape based on 4.2v output and know a bit about basic electronics to know what to look for in case of an issue. Keeping the insides clean and understanding building to get the vape you want can offer a lifetime of no-worries with a mech.

It's the Arthas, a 26650 copper mech mod. Nice hitting mod and the batteries I use are 25 amp cdr, 4500 mAh.

Mech's are great but you "MUST" know what you're doing. There are only a few very simple rules and easy to follow but if you don't very bad things will happen.

Mech's are the Formula 1 cars, regulated Mod's are the Mercedes cruisers and Toyota Camrey's.

@conanthewarrior agreed. I have a two bay charger and four batteries for my cuboid. Always have two charged batterie with me at all times lol. I also carry the joytech ego aio in my case with my batteries in case anything happens
To my cuboid. But I heard cuboids are pretty
Much bullet proof. Also bought a k box mini 70watts just in case haha
I find the cuboid to be a very good mod at it's price point. It is one of my favourites in the collection actually.
Always good to have spare batteries-make sure they are in a case though! :).
Plus, the Kbox mini sounds great as a backup mod. The main thing is, any mod as a backup is good really-otherwise, no vaping.

Mech mods aren't on a "higher level" than modern regulated mods. They do require more knowledge and care to use safely, though.

Imo, the mech purists are an odd breed at this point, (kind of like ppl who insist on using revolvers instead of semi-auto pistols). Most started vaping several years ago. I recommend sticking with regulated mods and getting more for your money. If you want to see what using a mech mod is like, just try "bypass mode". ;)

Honestly? No , you don't need one. you can usually get a cigalikey from a garage until you can replace your gear. if you do want one, then one extra is absolutely all you will ever need. Probably not a bad idea.

Of course you may WANT lots of mods and toppers. That is ok too. But dont confuse a fetish for lots of gadgets with necessity. They are really not the same thing.

I think I am the first person to say this in 6 pages of posts. But then, perhaps that is to be expected on a vape porn forum.

I use a mech mod exclusively. I dont consider myself an 'odd breed'. I had a vv/vw device many years ago. The threads stripped on the connector. I decided to replace it with a nice Philippines made telescopic mech mod because a. It was MUCH more compact than any regulated mod at the time b. It was built like a tank c. It was the most beautiful mod I could find. It was nit cheap, but it is still going, and I still love it. I have not replaced it because I just haven't needed to.

I might get a temp control mod soon. Just to try it out. especially now you can get a decent one for a fifth of what I paid for my mech. But this will not make me any more or less of an 'odd breed'.

As for revolvers vs semi automatic guns, I dont want either, thanks.

I still think that insisting on using mechs only is odd, these days. Years ago, not so much.

Anyway, the reference to "revolvers vs semi-autos" was an analogy. I wouldn't worry about your preference, because in England, your government has already made that decision for you, (wasn't that nice of them). You can own neither.

I couldn't agree more. However, after learning the essentials, a couple of decent mechs and rdas are not bad things to have around considering we don't know what's to come with deeming regs. Until then? A cheap regulated beater for a backup is hard to beat. My current daily carry is a vtc mini with my old istick 30w as a backup. I even jumped in on the pre-order for an istick pico which will likely become the daily. However, the ultimate backup as long as the knowledge is there, IMO, is still a mech.

Well, I suppose the ultimate backup could be the skill of soldering as no matter what happens, one could make an unregulated box. That's a different can of worms and way the heck off topic though. Lol

No insistence on my part. I just haven't needed to change something that works well. I am not 'anti' regulated mods. Each to their own.

A small point though - the government was responding to the will of the majority in that particular instance. Not always the case, admittedly.

Quality regulated mods, (Joyetechs qualify), usually last a long time, assuming you don't abuse em. However, the rule here could be the same one that goes for firearms; i.e. two is one and one is none.

I just bought a RX200, so I'm following my own advice again. ;) Now I just have to decide whether to keep the Topbox Mini as my carry mod, or to buy either an Eleaf Pico or Joyetech Cuboid Mini to fill that role.
Just got my black and red Rx200 and my Black TFV4 mini. What a match-up. So far a nice device. I have it as my at home chillin device. I have a Smok R200 as my around the house pocket device and a Cuboid as my at work or on the go pocket device. In my truck as an emergency I have a Subox Mini. On the bench is an Xcube II, a Sigelei 75 watt, A Heat Invader Mini, and an IPV3 as well as my old friends a ZMax and a VTR. I have 3 Tfv4 tanks, 2 Subtank Minis, A Sigelei Elite Tank, A Cubis tank and a Lemo as well as a Freak Show RDA, A Mutant V3 RDA and a 13 Heavens RDA. I am currently waiting for my Tsunami RDA. I also just ordered a Pico because it can be used as a pass through and I need one of those for long road trips ;)

Wow, nice collection you have goin. I threw most of my older stuff away, (just j
janky old Kanger stuff). So right now I just have a Topbox Mini, (does the job until I sell it on Friday). My RX200 and Phoenix won't arrive till tomorrow at the soonest, ("2 Day" Priority Mail). I can hardly wait. I think my first RTA will be the Wismec Theorem I want a Horizon Cerakoat tank as well. I'll place my order for 2 Pico kits, (1 silver, 1 white), tonight. The plan is to keep one and give the other to my brother.. but I know I'll be tempted to keep them both. :D

The black one looks pretty slick too:) and you were right, $10 more for the tank, but I have plenty of tanks anyway, including a Cubis that is surprisingly good

Yep, I could see buying just the mod if I had several tanks already, but I don't. I plan to use the hell out of that Melo III Mini, and the Eleaf coils that come with it! :vapor:
