Hey guys! I'm currently using the Icon by PureSmoker.com. Its great, I love it, no complaints and all that. But I saw a post on the forum of a device very very similar to it. The device in question was made by a European company. It functions much like the Icon but has different voltage options. Craaap, now I can't remember what it is, which makes me want it more. Anyone know what I'm talk'n about, because I don't. Any help would be much appreciated.

You're thinking of the Mako Midi.
Don't do it. You have to take off and add on visable O-rings just to use different batteries. It looks tacky, and so does the tarnishing brass they put on it. The GG is alright at best for the price. Your ICON is about as good as it gets for a trusty mechanical 3.7v device. That think could outlast you.

That's the one! Really? No good? Thanks for the heads up man. Just getting more concerned about the whole "non protected battery blowing up thing." Using the AW batts now, but kinda looking for a simple 5V mod.

For 5V mods currently available, take a look at this page of my Wonderful World of Mods guide. But I urge you to give consideration to the growing number of variable voltage mods. 5V might be just right for one of your atomizers in one of your moods, but variable voltage will always be right.

And, yes indeed, always use protected batteries in a vented mod (venting is especially important if batteries are stacked).

thanks for the tip. Always been curious about a variable voltage mod. Just seems like, I dunno there may be to many things to go wrong. Of course I've never actually seen one.
