So... I'm sure you've all been asked a million times, but what is the * vs a non-* thing about? I don't get it and the search function failed me hard lol
A vela owner is entitled to one authentic serial numbered mod, and 3 additional mods per authentic number. So if you have a #1, you are also entitled to three 1* numbered velas. Hence 1, 1*, 1*, 1*.
Not sure, but I'm trying to find a way to fix it. When I take unscrew the button from the tube, push all the way up, tighten the screw, then adjust to the perfect throw, it's fine. But as soon as I lock and unlock it again, it does what you're seeing in the photos. Do you think maybe I'm missing a metal washer or something in there?why does your button stick out so far?

I really don't think that adding a washer is going to fix that. I think your switch is put together wrong.
Boog, theres nothing wrong with that switch, the fact is shes trying to adjust the throw. You cant make a longer throw on Caravela. The lock ring must be screwed all the way up, then the bottom part of button pushed all the way in and then the screw - screwed on tightly.
She has two Caravelas, so she knows how the switch goes together.
This. When I tightened the pin with a pair of pliers so it was really tight, it fixed the issue. Thanks everyone for the help - you guys are awesome. She needs to tighten her pin down. And tighten it real good with a pair of pliers. Had same issue with mine. When i unlocked the ring it would loosen the pin as well giving me that big gap. Pair of pliers fixed that problem though!
