I did get a nose bleed once off of a fifty-one cart .It was my first all day vaping and the nic rate at least for those carts was listed as higher than I would use with my 510.Have not had any more but only been out like 6 times vaping so it does worry me a little. It would be very ugly to be out with a bloody nose so I am hoping it was just that cart or me being a rookie and smoking the cart dry while out.The fifty-one carts are listed as all pg , any thoughts on how to avoid this in the future?

[...] I increased my water intake even more (I really hate that stuff) and the headache disappeared. I have heard that when you stop smoking you should really increase your fluids.

Might be I don't get 'em because I love ice-water. I travel a lot and it tastes different everywhere. That's why I use bottled water (gallon jugs are cheaper). Ice is different everywhere, too. I don't like the water at my house, either.

Here's something you could try:

Dilute some cran-apple-grape juice (or similar) about 50/50 with water, pour over ice. It's not so strong, so you may be able to drink a lot of it. For some reason it makes the vape taste better (for me, anyway). I've heard apples and pears make the vape taste better, too. Must be a fruit thing, so you could try different fruit juices, or just sueeze a little lemon in plain water. Might be worth a try.

Also: Peanut butter, milk, gravy, and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups all make the vape taste awful.

Good to hear searcher, always glad to see a fellow vaper enjoying the benefits.

Personally, I've done a lot of research on PG and from what my sources show, there are no negative effects attributed to the long term inhalation of PG or VG. Whether or not my positive effects can be attributed to the PG or just not enhaling all that crap in analogs, ive noticed drastic changes with my breathing, smell, taste, appetite, and even my general mood.

Are you friggin' kidding me ? Where in your obviously warped comprehension of what you read did you conclude that propylene glycol has even the most miniscule association with using methamphetamine? Please tell me you're joking!
You can buy gallons of PG at the pharmacy! Did I read this wrong or are you really that ignorant? If I did read it wrong I sincerely apologize. If not, you should be banned from posting until you get a grip.
Trading cigarettes for ....!!! I'm incredulous! I can't even think of anything else to say except that has to be the top #1 stupid post I have ever read!!! Aaaaaaaggggghhhhh!!!!!! :-x:-x:-x
P.S. What are you even doing here? And anyone who wants to defend this incredible piece of crap, flame on!!! And just in case you want to get cute, my hostility is not from drug use, it is from my intolerance to this level of stupidity!

It's just a garden-variety troll trying to screw up this forum. It keeps popping up. It's trying to screw up this forum, and get reactions like yours. Every time one of these losers gets banned, they just register under a different name. Check under it's avatar. 2 posts. Mostly the same post, with a little improv at the end. Check out the other one:

That's what a troll does for fun. No life. No friends. No future. No ability to make any friends. Just wandering around the Internet trying to break things. Like a little kid trying to get some attention. Kinda sad, if you think about it. I mean, what sort of pathetic, miserable little life would make that kind of recreational activity seem like fun? (shudder)

All you can do is report suspected trolls to the admins. Just click the little

button in the bottom-left corner of the post (I already got this one).

What about headache and Dry mouth?

I guess its a small price to pay...

I get the dry mouth but I love it because I'm drinking more water, 0 calorie flavored water, and it quenches my thirst and tastes so delicious when its nice and cold because my tastes buds are coming back because I'm not smoking analogs.

I use to also have that horrid wheezing at night and that has stopped.

Quasimod,

I think you are right on target. Now I feel a little foolish for losing my temper. It's just that last night I read one deluded woman say it's just like crack, then another guy, with a pulpit, telling us how "unclean" we are in the eyes of Christ, then I hit this guy and lost it. That's not to mention the scores of other ridiculous posts in between.

Is it a full moon or what? Have a great day!

I know exactly how you feel! :D Give it some time, and you'll spot me doing something way more embarrassing. I have a bad habit of staying up all night, and typing under the influence (TUI). Luckily, you can't get arrested for that.

By the way, those other posts that helped set you off were probably from the same guy under a different name (just my opinion).

My husband tells me my snoring has greatly decresed since I switched from analogs to vaping. Now, I find this hard to believe ... Since he never proved to me that I ever snored to begin with. LOL

My wife hasn't said anything about my snoring - she seems a bit upset about the whole vaping thing - it actually takes more time then old fashoined smoking, and I'm not even talikng about lying around on the forums all night.

I notice coughing has increased since (I stopped smoking analogs).. I know withdrawl symptoms will come quick and hard as I'm a heavy smoker (ciggies and other herbs)..

I haven't smoked a ciggie for almost two days now :D

I think the e-cig makes quitting "piece of cake".. yes cake, it's just as sweet as that! ;)

Jinni, Where in the world is CT?

This thread is pretty deep, but I'll chime in.

My 2 granddaughters, along with my daughter came up last month with them all sick. My wife got sick and it lasted for about 2 weeks. I felt a little something for a day and it went away and that was it for me. I attributed it to the PG, due to the old Times article that was linked to somewhere around here.

I have now changed over to VG, due to the PG drying me out, cotton mouth, dry sinus. I don't like going to bed like that. It makes me breath through my mouth while sleeping, which makes it even worse.

I may have to try to use PG during the day and VG in the evening?

Anyway, my 2c.

Thought I'd chime in too. Lots of thougths on this thread..... my contribution: I have asthma. I had begun suffering from a LOT of wheezing on a daily basis. THIS was a big part of why I really felt I needed to quit the analogs. After 1 week without analogs... NO WHEEEZING and (ick alert) that
"morning phlegm " is much thinner and less profuse. Also, I seem to have stopped my horrible snoring. The hubby reports no snoring heard in over a week and I no longer wake up with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth!!!!

50+ years smoking - 69 days smoke free:

Coughing: Gone

Wheezing: Gone

Colds and Flu: None (just a few incidents of sniffles that were gone within hours, (probably analog lung slush exiting my system).

Animal like, stinky personal odor: Gone

Facial skin: smooth and clear.

Handsomeness: Much more handsome!

Non smoking wife: Off my case!

UNBELIEVABLE!

Best evidence of vaping’s effectiveness: When my 7 yr old granddaughter visits now, she freely hugs me and kisses me on the cheek. She used to do that, only if she felt it was absolutely necessary, like for a treat or a gift.

Side effect that I have ran into, which I've heard others say, is very dry lips! I wasn't putting on chapstick for the first week like people were saying, which was my bad. Lips got so dry that I got a couple of tiny blisters on my lower lip but they weren't visible (thank gawd) and that's about it.

Other than that the positives so out weigh this lil dry lip problem which is now under control. :)
