Ok, I just got my first box mod in the mail today. It's a sigelei 100w plus. I'm kinda worried in a way my pagaged didn't have a quality control slip in it like I see most unboxing and even in pic on there website but everything else is the the warranty and user manual. The mod looks down to the t exactly the same but kinda worried of clone. I bought online from someone who has sold plenty of them and had a 100% rating. Am I just being over parinoid?

(Oh and Havnt got to test it yet waiting on the battiers to get here currently and the subtank)

Mine came with a certificate of authenticity. A scratchable security code that i could call in and verify my device was legit. Also a warranty card that asks you to put in your security code and serial number and mail it back for a 1 year limited liability warranty. It should be noted i have received this with every sigelei product i have ever purchased.

If you didn't get all of that with your sigelei product you may have been hoodwinked.

EDIT: spelling

Really...damn it is there any way to tell if it's real or fake? It's Def looks like the real thing But yea I don't want a clone I was under the impression I was getting a authentic item...

Call up whoever you bought it from and tell them "they forgot to put your warranty card and counterfeit verification card in with your mod"... If they resist or play dumb. Just go on their site. File for the return, ship it back on your own dime. Get mad about it... then move on lol...

Eciggity is where i go for all my sigelei stuff... They have never shipped me a mod or battery without a counterfeit verification scratch off sticker.

Cause he got ripped off... Paid full price for some knockoff that will likely break in a month or two... A certified product that comes with the proper codes allow you to get a warranty for a year or two...

Its the principle of the matter as well... I mean... I paid for a brand name product from a place who said thats what they were selling me.... Then they ship me counterfeit goods?

Hell... i have gone to better business bureau and raised a world of trouble over a lot less.

EDIT: On the more sinister side of things... i have seen people buy items from vendors... find out its a counterfeit then have the vendor refuse the return because they "only accept genuine goods" for returns. Seeing someone out 100 bucks on a fake made me very cautious very early on

Yea eciggity was one but all I had to work with was paypal credit and trying to get off cigs. Going to call sigelei later to see if there is any way of seeing if it's a real deal. If not then I'm contacting the selling and saying there was no qc slip in it and want ether a refund or a authentic device that I can prove it's real.... on another note most video I see they don't have scratch off stickers or anything. Just a qc slip with them the asmodus booklet and the operations manual were packaged the exact same way as mine tight celafin wrapper outside lose fitting g celafin over the mod the qc stickers in the battery door are in exact same spots with 2 of then in same place Looks completely real to me down to a t but is missing the qc slip and have looked everywhere incase I doped it and yea came up with nothing.

When i opened my box. right on top of the mod was a few slips of paper with legalise jibberish on it. And then under that a folded hard piece of paper with the sigelei logo on it... inside of it the info i need to activate my warranty where i bought it, when i bought it etc. Then a little silver scratch off piece with a authentication number on it.

Its possible now they forgo that and just rely on a printed serial number inside the device?

Either way id be cautious because the seller could have just repacked a used item? idk... i dont want to speculate further... I don't buy vape stuff off ebay.

Good luck though. Hope its legit.

Yea I didn't want to buy from eBay ether why I spent a month looking at mods and stores and what not. But couldnt find any store that took paypal other than like fasttech. When I opened mine it the mod was on top followed by the asmodus slip and manual that's it. I dug threw trash and looked on the ground and what not even found the wrappers for both parts.... well I'll see what sigelei has to say about it if there is another way to verify it's real. If not I'll will be starting it with the seller and if he don't want to do anything I'll get ebay involved since the whole ebay garentee and what not. And he said authentic and as far as I know it's a really good looking fake...

There is one Chinese vendor that does not include the warranty card in the box - even though they are genuine Sigelei products. If your seller got them from Fasttech, they will have everything but the warranty card and scratch off.

This is because they sell below the price the manufacturer sets for the product and the warranty card can be used by Sigelei to see who the supplier was that sold it to Fasttech. So they remove it to protect their supply chain.

Did your seller offer any warranty on the product page listing? I would definitely take it up with your vendor.

I doubt you got a clone, I'm not saying they don't exist out there, but I've certainly not seen any or noticed they are commonly cloned.

I've never seen or heard of a counterfeit Sigelei 100 watt box. Not saying they don't exist, but if they do, I'd assume there would be a thread here with a side-by-side comparison. If this is truly a concern, is there anybody reading this who has a fake Sig and is willing to upload some detailed comparison pics?

thank you @InTheShade i had forgotten about that aspect. I didn't even consider it because i never buy from fasttech. +1

Gotta have that warranty card though. Things are too damn expensive to be replacing them every time you drop one before the 1 year warranty >.<

You're right. If you buy directly through them there is no issue as they will honor their own warranty. The issue comes like in this case (if that is indeed what happened) when someone uses FT as their supplier. There are business accounts that FT offer, that protect the identity of FT from the buyer but allow a warranty service - so hopefully this vendor has this type of set up if the OP needs it.

But yes, I agree, hope is not a great warranty strategy.
