I had an ipv 4 and that imploded in my purse at best buy a few months ago, so I made a post here to see if it was the batteries or the mod, turns out you guys were right it was the mod, after some thought I replaced it with a sigelei 150 TC which normally does pretty well for me,but I've noticed it heats up slower than my ipv 4 did, also it seems to have trouble heating lower gauge wire coils,no matter what wattage I try, I seem to get this little tiny harsh hit, with max vg,with any coil made with lower than 26 gauge wire. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, asmodous didn't reply to my email and I haven't been able to get any answers on YouTube so I thought maybe someone here could answer this for me,is this some kind of safety feature or is it possible I just have bad luck and got another dud? Thanks

You running it in power mode or joule mode? The only thing I think is it sounds as if your in joule mode.

No, I made that mistake once with my herakles but I've double checked every time since, it's for sure in power with kanthal, but that is almost the sensation, like I had run kanthal in joule mode, but only with low gauge coils ,it's very strange

whats the resistance and what watts are you running it at?

I have a few different builds, the ones it has trouble with are a .25ish dual coil with 24g wire in a tobh, and the other I noticed is in my husbands fishbone I think it's roughly the same build, we just noticed that if I try to run either of those rdas on my Sigelei at any wattage, starting at 50 and tested as high as 65 they just don't heat up or vape right, but I can pop them off mine and put them back on his ipv 4 and they work just fine

I didn't actually run it,just more like noticed immedately with one hit and changed it, but that wouldn't make sense because I still use it every day with all of my rdas and tanks,i just noticed that it takes a second or two longer to heat up than my ipv 4 did when I fire it and it won't heat up some of the lower gauge builds

....hmm I was wondering if it would run it if you say switched from ni to kanthal without setting coil res,but I just checked and mine auto adjusted to the new kanthal coil resistance. Sounds odd that yours is doing that.
Yeah it's definitely producing some weird issues, I'm trying to get ahold of asmodous for warranty but they haven't replied to my emails yet, I've emailed them twice in the last week.

K thx wraith. As per Guage of wire, I have only ran 26 Guage twisted kanthal and 28 Guage twisted nickel on mine so I wouldn't be able to help you out there.
I think it may be an issue with just mine unfortunately, I've seen a ton of great reviews on YouTube and haven't heard anyone mention either of the two issues I'm having, I even tried doing it with fully charged batteries because I thought that may be the issue, but it still happened

My cousin is a supplier for almost everything that is "Vape". I am using an IPV4S, and my cousin is happy with his 150 Sigelei TC. I had a dual parallel coil build on my Forge RDA clocks out at .12 on my ipv. Cant remember on his 150 tho, but i can tell u this, his 150 does fire a little slower than my ipv, but not to a point which is REALLY noticeable. I mean, it burns a little slower but not 1-2 seconds slow. As i fire on my ipv its fast and i can hear, fell and taste the burning but on the 150 its a little slower maybe about .3-.5 seconds slower but it does the job and it tastes fine. If you increase power u'll burn it but i think 150's are a little slow in firing IMO but not how u say it is 1-2 seconds slow. But his 150 works great to me. Just that particular burning part that i think IMO doesnt bother me at all. But for tank attys there is no problem.. I fire my zeph just fine on his 150, same taste same clouds..
