So I just received a new sigelei 150 watt from eciggity.com. I also already have the sigelei 100 watt plus. Here is where I find something to be not quite right? My sigelei 100+ will show output voltage max 8.5 volts. However my sigelei 150 will only go to 7.5 max. Is this normal? Anyone else have these devices? I find it odd at best. Because wouldn't the higher wattage device need the extra volt instead of the lower version? Different chip versions maybe? Any feedback is appreciated...

The sigelei 150w only has a buck down chip. It can't step voltage up. If you try firing the coil with a voltage above what the batteries are putting out, it should tell you "check batt". This means you can only fire to the full 150w with a coil up to 0.375 ohms until the batteries are below 3.75v each. If you want to be able to fire to the 150w level through the entire charge(all the way to the 3.2v per battery cutoff), you will have to build your coil between 0.1 ohm and 0.27 ohms.
