I saw this earlier today and had to check it out. SIGELEI 150W _SIGELEI 150W_SIGELEI Electronic Cigarette -

Shame they did not have firmware to the Sig 100w to make it upgrade-able to the 150w box in the future. I have a 150w box and have never used it that high and at this point in time do not ever seeing myself us it to its full capabilities and honestly if the ipv2 or ipv2s came with dual batts I would be good with one of those. To each their own and there certainly is no short supply of options at the moment.

Makes me wonder why they would be kicking out their 100w plus version and this box at approximately the same time.

Because it makes them more money , plain and simple. This is to be expected , new mods will be released all the time and some don't make much sense but as long as people continue to buy them who says it has to make sense.

You will see more and more mods with temperature regulating chips soon enough , it never ends .

truthfully in my opinion if they truly wanted to get more profit from repeat buyers they should have introduced some redesign either to the chip or screen.

Anyone who already owns a sigelei 100w is looking at that 150w gimmick and thinking "why would I ever need that". Well, thats me anyway lol. A 100w vape already is nothing pleasant, I would imagine 150w would be painful or dangerous. I suppose in a niche market for people that are building quad coils it might come in handy, but even then i doubt any user would want to pump more than 100w into their coil(s).

If they designed a better looking screen and a better chip, I would not hesitate to buy. The only thing the 150w does for me is roll my eyes.

I wonder when they come out with a 1000w box mod what you will do with your eyes

While I never run my Sig 100w over 35 watts, I do like the machining of this 150w box.

If it proves to be reliable like the 100 has, I will get it just because I like how it looks. I am planning on getting either another Sig 100 or this 150 anyways, so I can wait a little while to see when it comes out/how it does. I personally REALLY like the screen layout of the Sig 100, would really like it to show the 100th of the ohm though, like .15 vs .1 etc. Either way, I really like this device. Going to follow this thread to see where it goes.

I am glad that I have waited, this 150W Sigelei looks much better in terms of aesthetics, I guess they got rid of Stevie Wonder as the head of their design team.
This is a time where I am actually happy that they seem to have cut corners...

If it was painful or dangerous for you to run at 150W then that would be because you don't understand how to build for it, therefore a wise decision for you not to attempt it. This is not a dig at you, but at the misconception that comes with high-wattage vaping.
Currently on a mech I use a single 0.5ohm coil which is like 35Watts, dual coil would be 70Watts which I don't do due to diminished battery life. It is a cool vape, but with a nice amount of cloud, the 70W would still be a cool vape, just with a larger cloud.
Now if I add more wraps to my coil then I am going to need more power to heat it up, which is what I plan on doing when I get this 150W mod, so I for one can see the benefit of having all that available power.

I think someone is going to get hurt one of these days using one of these boxes. That's the day when the govt likely will start banning ecig and everything related. And then cig companies will start coming out with disposable ecigs and start making some big money. Cant blame sigelei 100 percent vs some ppl who just keep wanting more power, produce more and more vapor. When is it good enough? Sigh

People will hurt themselves with absolutely anything, no matter how 'safe' it seems.

That doesn't mean anything as none of the regulations etc.. make much practical sense . Bottom line is if someone hurts themselves with one of these e cig devices thats all it's going to take for them to say all of them are too dangerous and they are gone.

Make sense , no , could it happen, definitely.

Releasing the same mod with upgraded features just outrages the people who just bought the one before it , when they release a totally new version the buyers of the old can't complain about that .

It will depend on the specs of this 150watt box, whether I will purchase it or not. I have a sig100, and I only use it around 65-75watts w/ dual 24 gauge coils at .5ohm.

Now if the new 150watt box is going to give me a true, and better output voltage range, so it will allow me to utilize the full wattage with an array of ohm loads, along with the spring adjustable 510 pin, and the new aesthetics, it will be mine. I want to be able to run a higher ohm load at a higher voltage so I can pull less amps for the same wattage and extend my run time, even though right now, I am getting almost 2 days most days.

I just hope they make the ohm checker go down to the 100th's so I will be able to see a .54 load, instead of a .5

I think the same can be said for any ecig that is using a shoddy battery or has poor wiring.

It looks like a pretty nice enclosure. Gimmicky and a copy of the IPV3 in many ways, but nice. If they would put the adjustable 510 connection that's on the Sigelei 20W in there, I would definitely pick it up. I'm currently modding my Sig 100w with a Fatdaddy vapes connector because of the damn ohm jumping characteristics with the crappy 510 design now.

My ohm's don't fluctuate on my segelei 100 watt.
