I apologize if this is in the wrong subforum.

I have a sigelei #19 and #20 - with a little work done to the #19 it is performing great.

The #20 is much more difficult to work on, and I'm having trouble disassembling the head cap. I was looking at the take down procedure from another forum's post Potential problem with Sigelei 20 (hopefully I'm allowed to link that).

I can't get past removing the firing pin housing - but my real question is: Is there any need to get in there in the first place?

Is it worth my time to try to sand down some of these connectors?

Thanks.

you dont need to remove the switch because the switch just deflects the coper spring on the bottom pin to complete the connection.

You can remove the bottom pin with pliers and when you remove the bottom pin. Take something small enough to fit in that hole to push out the top pin.

Next step is to take toothpaste, a toothbrush, and hot water. Clean the 2 pins and the spring. I also clean the top cap that is there for the 510 connection.

I actually brush every part of the hole mod down. of the spring and pins change it gets brighter and cleaner. The copper spring that is connected to the bottom pin gets extremely clean too. The threaded breather cap changes color from the cleaning as well.

It actually performs quite a bit better after the cleaning. I run it on a 1.3ohm single coil. Before the cleaning I was getting decent vapor but flavor was lacking. After the cleaning I am starting to see why drippers drip.

I don't have a voltage tester only a group of 5 friends. This was tested on a pretty used coil/wick. After the cleaning (without them know) they all asked if i went dual coil or is there a new wick/coil I built.

If you want pictures I can post it up as well.
