After vaping on a 50w istick this week Ive decided to get the sig 50w instead of the 30w mini since there isnt that much difference in size and it will be nice having the extra 20w if needed. Now Im just trying to find the best price on it, would love to know where folks are finding them around $60.

Mind elaborating on why you are choosing something different than the Istick 50w? I'm looking for an upgrade from my original MVP v2 and I've narrowed it down to the iStick 50w, MVP 3 and then after reading this thread the Sigelei is now a contender. Anyone had/have/used all 3 to compare?

Thanks!

I love the istick 50w but I also already have some batteries and a charger not currently being used so I was searching for a device that I could swap batteries out if need be. It was more of a want than a need, after being a smoker for 25 years I make sure to have backups for backups.I also have a 20w Sigelei tube mod that has worked perfectly since the day I bought it, they make some nice devices. Of course you have to factor in the cost of batteries and a charger if you dont have them already for the Sigs.

I just got my 50w V2 from vaporrange. Holy crap this thing is great! Solid, SOLID build quality and feel. So glad I went with it instead of the iStick 50 or any of the mini 30's or even the ipv2 mini. Very very happy.

Taylor, I would say that if you want a replaceable battery unit in the 50w range, the Sig is the right way to go. If you don't want a replaceable battery, go with the iStick 50.

After running my Sigelei 50w VR2 through its paces, I'm still very happy with it! Solid build quality, love the side usb port, the only thing I would like to see is step down and wattage memory presets like the Sigelei Mini 30w. Overall a great device!

I was going to replace my MVP2 with an MVP3 but I really wanted replaceable batteries so I went for the Sigelei Mini, and its perfect. Easier to hold and carry too. The 50w isn't much bigger, but I didn't need the extra 20w or the price difference. Paid $35 for the MVP last August, paid the same for the Sigelei..

Well - I do have a couple VTC 5's (2600 mah) from when I was running a REO (which i still have and don't use). Assume this would work or is there another newer battery that has proven to be better. If I hadn't had these laying around...then it would be an additional expense to purchase.

Given this only has ONE 18650 ... what's the avg run time using something in the 1 ohm range?

Assuming the iStick would run longer as it has 2 that run parallel...right?

It's hard to tell what kind of runtime you'll get, it all depends on your usage really (wattage, resistance, puff duration and count, etc). For me, I get a day out of one 2500mah battery vaping a subtank mini (0.5ohm) @20watts but I always keep a spare pair of batteries with me in any case.

The iStick would almost assuredly run longer as it has the two internal batteries (4400mah maybe? Not sure). If you don't want to fiddle with batteries, I still think the iStick is the right choice. I prefer a unit that I can swap the batteries out though, as otherwise I just feel like I'm "renting" the device until the internal battery decides to crap out, at which point it becomes a paperweight. But there is an ease-of-use quality to the built in battery mods which is appealing to a lot of people.

VTC5's are the best batteries if they are legit, so yep, they'll work perfectly in any of the Sigelei mods. You can pick up Samsung 25r's for about $14 per pair and they are the next best thing, so fairly inexpensive.

I picked up a Smok M65 today at a local b&m. Works good but I still like the Sigelei 50 the best.

Well, the Sig has the Yihi sx330 chip, so that's an advantage. Same chip as the 100Ws and in my ipv1. One of the reasons I got the Sig 50W. Its a good, accurate, reliable chip. I also think (entirely my opinion) that Sigelei makes a good mod. I'm not saying Smok doesn't, I've never had one. But, I've never had a problem with a Sigelei yet.

Really, were it not for the weird fire button on this mod, I would buy another. I'm having a little trouble finding it with the silicon cover on.

I noticed how the button "disappears" with the silicone cover as well, took me a little while to adjust although now I find it every time. Of course, one could always just put a jwrap or vaporskin on it and not use the silicone cover, but I'm stubborn :D

I know, I'm torn on using the sleeve. I haven't used it on my 100W in months now. However, its easier to get on and off the 50W. Probably because of the buttons. And its comfortable. I'll adjust to the button, I always do :)

The more I use the silicone sleeve the easier it is to get on and off, yet it is still tight - I think I like it better with, and it doesn't really increase the time it takes me to switch batteries that much.

This 50w vr2 is still rocking a week later, best purchase I've made in months :D I kind of want to put a jwrap on it just to reward it for working so well.
