Hey guys.

I'm new here and I've read a couple threads from people wondering which mod to get between the Sigelei 74w TC and the rDNA 40. Sometimes they also consider the iStick 40w TC. First of all im going to admit that I got myself the Sigelei 75w TC about 2 weeks ago. I also used the rDNA 40 for a couple months as it was loaned to me by a good friend who owns a vape shop. I loved the rDNA 40 when it came out. It was small, sexy and the magnetic battery cover was great. I didn't like that the screen was on the bottom as it was always scary to set it down upright when I was in a bar or other similar situations. I mostly vape with dual coil tanks. Zephyrus and Goblin but I do like to kick it back with a RDA when I'm at home watching a movie. I currently use the CLT 3.

When I finally was able to save enough to get a real good mod my first choice was the rDNA 40 but I went with the Sigelei 75w TC instead for the following reasons.

1- the price. I got the Sigelei for 85$ and the rDNA 40 was 130$. That's 45$ that I put towards the Goblin mini which is amazing.

2- 40w is not quite enough for dual coil drippers. I need at least 50w to get it going nicely.

As for the iStick well it's an OK mod for someone on a budget but I highly recommend putting 30$ more and get the Sigelei. Don't get me wrong. I used the iStick 30w as my first 'box' mod after using mechs for a year. At first I didn't like box mods but I got the iStick with a Manger subtank mini for about 50$ again from my vape shop owner friend and its the iStick that sold me to the idea of box mods. It's not a bad product for the price but it has a useabke life of 6 months maximum before the battery is no longer good enough to use as a primary mod. The iStick 40w TC is only 40w and the 50w isn't TC and is prone to explosions.

So basically what I'm saying is that if you're looking for a TC mod it means you use drippers cuz TC isn't usefull with subtanks. And if your using drippers then 40w is kind of underpowered for dual coils. So that leaves the Sigelei.

The latest version of the Sigelei doesn't have that single up and down plastic button. It has been replaced by two separate buttons. As for the power button I agree that it's not the greatest one around specially compared to the awesome Sigelei 150w. It doesn't have a metal socket around it which gives it a cheap feel and I'm a little worried that it might break or that juice might easily get in. But that is the only drawback and I haven't heard of too many issues with it breaking.

Hope I helped

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Don't know where you got that idea. Many people use RTA's and subΩ clearomizers with TC mods.
