Sigelei - batteries won't charge

So I have this sigelei mod:

MINI BOOK_Starter kits_SIGELEI Electronic Cigarette -

And both batteries I have will not charge in it. It isn't the batteries because one is 2 months old and the other, 2 weeks old, but both do not charge in this device suddenly as of today. The Sig shows that the battery is charging but it never actually charges up. The device still works as a pass-through but will not charge the batteries. I left it on the charger for over 3 hours and it still reads nothing on the charge indicator. I tried 2 different charger cables, same result. Is there some way to fix this or do I just need to buy a new mod?

Maybe the box only recognizes Sigelei battery?!

No, don't need a new mod. Onboard charging I only suggest in an emergency, forget the charge port is there, that is for mods that use 18650 batteries, with built in LiPo packs the charger is designed for that mod and LiPo pack. 18650 batteries, you need an external, dedicated intelligent charger, like one of the Nitecore (i2, i4, D2, D4), Efest (LUC V2, LUC V4, LUC V6, Blu6), or any of the Xtar chargers.

OK thanks, I'll get an external charger. I do however find it odd that the onboard charger worked perfectly well with these batteries until today.
