From a conversation I read from a Co-op Q&A with a sigelei Rep last week, the #19e is solid brass with COPPER pins, and a gold-plated spring (up top)...not positive about the lower spring, but the bottom magnet cup was brass in the regular #19s, so it should be the same...possibly copper also. I just received notification that mine shipped on Friday (Vaportek)....looking forward to getting my mitts on it :D

Just got my 19E. Your description is correct, all brass, but I dont think the pin is copper, looks brass as well. Spring is gold(?) plated steel. Bottom pin is brass. The button has the same grinding sound and has a long throw...still trying to get that thing unscrewed...dam you chinese loctite. Stock V-drop is ~.52 on a .6ohm coil.

Yepper, mine just arrived in the mail about 45 minutes ago. Body and all the other pieces are Brass. The top positive pin in mine was brass as well, and my early attempts at getting the button apart have been fruitless so far, but all I've tried at this point is just using one of those rubber jar-opener thingies (which worked on my original #19a).

The top cap on mine has a galling problem, but a little Noalox and working it back and forth a few times is making it a little better, but I'll have to clean up the threads just a bit to make it buttery smooth like my original. There are also a lot more sharp edges in the machining here and there, but that should be easily resolved with a bit of polishing....overall, not as well finished as the Stainless was, but still not too bad.

Fire button is stiff and long-throw like the original, but VERY positive ...no misfires or sparks, though like I said, only about a half-hour of using it.

One thing I wall say for it; it HITS HARD!!! Much better than my stainless model already, even though my 19a has been modded. It definitely has potential....

19e looks great! I should get mine sometime this week, just got the tracking number. In the meantime I got my #8 and #13 today and did some chain vaping lol my #8 sucks out of the box, its anemic and barely hits. The #13 hits pretty good without any modding so I left it alone for now. Worked on the #8 sanded all the contact points to brass and the switch following the previous posts and still anemic and the spring gets really hot. Took it apart again checked everything, sanded some and still getting a hot spring. Swapped the 13 bottom cap assembly to the #8 and got a hot spring and barely hits, swapped the #8 bottom cap to the #13 and works fine. So its not my bottom caps. Took the switch assembly apart again and put a copper spring and still no workie. So I know it's the #8's switch that's causing the problem even after all the sanding and spring replacement or somewhere along there. Almost gave up on it but decided to put a small copper spacer on the cup/pin between the delrin and bam! it worked! unbelievable, I've taken my #8 apart so many times I can disassemble and reassemble it with my eyes closed :D lol but so far its hitting hard and no hot spring and vaping really good.

Me too *sigh*
:|

I had problems with mine too... inconsistent firing. I took the head apart on my #20 ...strange design. I tried to figure out what could be done to make it fire more positively, but didn't come up with anything earth-shaking.

One thing that I did though was put a very thin coating of Noalox on the contact surface of the top pin (the one that goes inside the spring - too much and it will fire constantly), and rotate the bottom pin so that the spring was perfectly centered around the top pin. Since I did that, it's been working a hell of a lot better....much more positive connection when I hit the fire button (my fire button was also put on at a slight angle, and not pressed fully onto the pin). I think the weak point in that design is a lack of good contact between the spring & the top pin....so the Noalox helps there. I was wondering if it might work better with something like a reed switch.

I don't know if it will hold up, but over the last week or so since I put it back together, I haven't had one miss-fire. I use it every day, though not as much as some of my other MODs. Only time will tell....

This is the 1st day of my vacation from the death star, no time yet to take my #20 apart. I do have brass stock at hand, just no time yet.

Thank you kind sirs. I really like my 20, especially the design of it. The problem is that I don't trust it...

What is a "reed switch?"

Damn you people! Can I dislike comments cuz I'm jealous?
At least John at Vaportek emailed me and said he was working out my orders and mine should be in the mail today....
Still have to wait.
tic, toc, tik, toc......

Oh - btw. my 19B top cap threads suffering the same issue. I took a sharp edge to the threads to clean up any possible shards on and in the threads then noaloxed them. Def better. I also noticed, since it has the spring on the top, I like the screw that in without opposing force; so I put that in while the body is threaded out; then screw the body in to tighten everything up.

Damn you too! :)

Thanks for the pic and making me more jealous.

...I'm still dreading the switch. Especially since my 19B is so nice now.

The 8W's haven't shipped yet have they?

Still debating that one since I already have the Ehpro Shipwreck (which I'm quite happy with).
