Sigelei mini and subtank!?

Hey guys, ive got a problem, when i use my sigelei mini and my subtank with my rba it sometimes gets super hot like too hot and like not that much vapor ive noticed that when i heat the rba the part where the coils touch the screws also heat up and smoke comes out, i cant use my occ cause building it is just a bummer... pls help

(it doesnt matter if i change the watts the problem still persists, sometimes its okay most of the times, too frickin hot feels like im having a fire in my mouth and the tip)

What ohms is the RBA section built out to?

You mentioned "the part where the coils touch the screws", I hope you just mean the leads (the wires that go into the post)? If the actual coil (the part that heats up) is touching the screw, then you're causing a short, and that'd be a pretty good explanation for why your RBA is heating up rapidly (and you're lucky you haven't gotten hurt).

Any chance you can snap a pic of your build for us?

I agree with nyiddle. Either the build is too low or it's shorting. What I mean by too low is that it's right at the edge of the tolerance for the segelei and it fires but is extremely close. Check the build on a different mod or take it to a B&M.

What is the ohm rating of the coils in your subtank?

What range power (watts settings) are you using with the Segelei Mini?

What batteries are you using in the Segelei Mini? Brand name, model, and size? Do you know the amp rating of your batteries?

Yup, sounds like a dead short. Getting that hot is a clear indication something is wrong. Hhhmmm... did you trim off the wires after they went thru the posts? If left too long, they can touch and will ground out. Please do give us a pic of your build.

I'm not qualified to answer. I don't use either one. Right off the bat, I don't think it's the tank, I think it's the build. From your description, and with no pics, it sounds like it's shorted out somehow.

As @suprtrkr said, I don't think it's the tank as much as it is the build. It sounds like something's shorting in the RBA deck.
