It's an iphone 3 in HDD mode.

Yeah this things been through hell, 24/7 use, on the job all day every day. looks nearly new.

It functions great in stacked mode low low stress on the chip and the ground contact isn't as touchy. Original Switch has been working great lately, must be stuck on a clean contact. :)

That baby's 8 months old but it's got 2 years of abuse on it..

Still using the joyelife 16340s too, the efest pack a lot more of a punch.

Hi Zmax Gurus! This is a slightly off topic question...do any of you know if the tatroe ring will fit the SigeleiZmax? Actually, to be more specifics, will it fit my mini? I have the telescope now...in fact I just got a second at DesertVapes...and now the 18350s are p.i.a. To change out all the time. I'm hoping an extension of some sort will allow me to use 18500s in the Mini (it's too pretty to be tucked away all by itself all the time!)
Thanks, and Happy Weekend

I tried to read all these pages. Gave up at some point in July 2013 and started skipping 10 pages at a time to Jan 2014 then jumped to May. Most of the older posted relate to V3 and I plan on buying a V5 anyway. Thanks to all who posted. I now know what batteries to consider and to get Noalox.

Thanks to yzer for posting about unflavored liquid and all the rest. I have thought about vaping unflavored for a while and did it today. I DIY and decided it was time to cut the nic and raise the VG. 33% 48mg pg with 66% vg for 16mg. Taste great, less filling. Wish I would have tried this in the beginning. I've vaped straight VG before to clean out an RDA between flavors but that's nothing like this.

Wizard Labs with free shipping makes this .036 cents per ml.

There is a discussion about Kayfun fitment beginning here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...5-telescopic-users-group-71.html#post12327681 Lots of US Sigelei vendors seem to be out of stock on the V3 and V5 right now. Desert Vapes is waiting for another order of the flat head V5s they have been selling for $46.95.

paulBHC, yes I've been liking DIY unflavored for quite a while now. It's all I use anymore.

Thinking of buying this Zmax v5 flat top but don't want gaps $47.97 Authentic Sigelei Zmax V5 Telescopic Variable Volt/Watt Mod - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Does the kayfun / provari beauty ring fit on it and eliminate any gaps on taifuns or kfl etc?

This is the one i've seen:
SvoeMesto Provari Cone Piece - Cloud 9 Vaping

Here's what I do with my Zmax while topped with either a Kayfun Lite or Kayfun 3.1:

96IbYLU.jpg

In the photo you can see the Kayfun 3.1 on the V5. I used a stainless steel tank section of the Kayfun Lite (sitting to the left of the Zmax) as a beauty ring. There is zero wobble or play, and the Kayfun is fully screwed into the 510 connection. It performs flawlessly.

Also, if I want to switch things up and vape using the Kayfun Lite, I can simply assemble the Kayfun Lite and use a stainless steel section of the 3.1 as the ring. Completely interchangeable. If you don't have 2 or more Kayfuns, replacement pieces can be purchased inexpensively from various vendors. Fasttech will have the lowest price if you don't mind the wait.

Much credit to an individual on this forum who provided me with this trick. I am not sure if he/she is a part of this thread, but in any case, thanks.

Also, with mention of DIY unflavored e-juice, I figured I'd add my latest creation to the photo. I actually love the subtle sweet taste of it. Variable wattage -> Variable heat. I can actually adjust the flavor of 'unflavored' e-juice. :)

Vapemail day

Opened the box, looked over the tri fold instruction sheet. Put in a charged AW 18350 that I had and it lights up Sigelei. I had a heck of a time getting the 5 clicks to turn it on. Now I can't seem to turn it off. Fast or slow clicking just goes through the menu.

I couldn't figure out which bottom cap is for what. I used the short cap but it seems to get very warm in use. I want to use the 18490s tomorrow.

Otherwise, looks nice, works well.

Edit to add: Instruction sheet is for V3. I see the on/off menu. I guess you can turn it on but not off.

You can turn it off. Click it 4 times so the "out on/off" option shows. Wait a second til it shows "out on", click it 1 time to show "out off". It goes off and won't fire until you reset it to "on" the same way. This is a good thing to do when putting your Zmax in a pocket or purse to keep it from firing accidentally.

I agree with yzer. I never even notice the gap when in 18650 mode. The edges aren't sharp and it also adds to the grip so you're less likely to drop it. After a short time you'll forget it's even there.

Actually the full telescope, with 2 stacked button-top '350s, is my preferred mode; that bottom segment fits my hand *perfectly* and keeps my hand oriented to the button, so I don't have to look at it everytime I use it.

But, I've been thinking of adding an 18500 or 18490 to my battery collection; is the 500-490 difference due to whether it's a button or flat top? I assume it takes either? I think I'd prefer the flat, it does save a bit on length, I notice especially with the stacked 350s.
