I got this Moonshot like 2 weeks ago. It's all I've been using but for some reason whenever I thread it on with the tank it doesn't close all of the way. The rubber o rings look fine, they're clean I washed them. When I don't use the tank it threads on %100 correctly and easily. I know I can't be the only person with this tank who's had this problem. Anyone know what I should do? Use the spare gaskets? My coils or too tall or something? They're only maybe 2-3mm above the air flow holes. I tried the other spare glass tank it comes with too and it was the same thing. Am I not seating the glass onto the to part before screwing it or something?Heres some pictures to highlight what I mean. Any advice is appreciated.

Wipe your tank really well with a clean tissue or paper towel, trying to get it as dry as possible, then grab it by the top and bottom and try to twist it closed a bit harder. If that doesn't work, you could try putting the thin allen key through the airflow hole for leverage, and try twisting it close. Don't twist it TOO much, as then you could have problems opening it.

I haven't noticed that issue on mine. I do the steps above to ensure the tank is tight, but I don't use all my strength as I don't want it too hard to untwist, just enough for the glass not to rotate. Try looking down the chimney and see if you can see your coils, see if they're too high up or something. You can hold the chimney next to the juice flow ring to get an idea of where it all sits, I just hold it against it at the threads so I can line it up. Good luck!

Thanks man I'll give it a shot. I know the coils aren't too high now or it's not the cotton because it screws completely closed when the tank isn't in the way. But when I do it with the tank it starts to crunch a little bit and gets hard to get it flush. I'm going to wipe it all down as you insisted and see what comes of it. I know nothing is stripped because it goes on like butter when the tank isn't introduced into the equation.

Good luck man, I hope you get it resolved. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure you remove the thin allen key before screwing on the juice flow band and chimney. OH! I noticed a few times, the 510 pin on the deck got lose. Make sure that's nice and tight, then with the built deck, float it on the base then push it down with the juice flow band and screw it on, then try the chimney.

Tought I'd put in a few more ideas in. Also, when I said to put the thin allen key through the airflow hole for leverage, don't put it through the hole in the 510 pin.

I really appreciate it man, haven't had any luck so far. I know the threads are clean because they thread on great without the tank, it's only when I put the tank between the 2 pieces with threads that it gets stuck towards the end. It's pretty much the last turn that grinds and there's always a gap. When the tanks not there, it threads on %100 with ease. I've changed all the o rings now and the problem is still here. Maybe I just don't know how to thread something on properly. I'm pretty much out of ideas I feel like I'm going to strip this thing in no time. This is a first in 6 years with any of the tanks I've had and it's also one of the most expensive. Suprimo never answered me despite reading my message and seeing the pictures.

OH YEAH, I forgot to add this, even if I just grab the juice flow hole piece that covers the deck. I can put it all together and thread that in no problem %100 as long as the deck and bottom airflow piece isn't there. Pretty got damn weird man. I used the allen key thing and it worked better than by hand. Does your always have a little gap after you thread it on?
