hey guys...been analog free for 2 weeks..... longest EVER in ten yrs..and i was convinced i woukdnt smoke no more

went camping (and still am..on the cell) and sigh i have two 3.7v with lr 306 devices with me and well damn.. i jus realized the hit of my pvs jus cant compare to the hit of an analog

will 6v give me a more powerful hit? when i smoke analogs
.i mouth hit then inhale..same with my pv..but the smoke.of the analog.is jus so much thicker..i obviously.feel it in my throat so much more..

will 6v give me that thicker.smoke? i know vg can...but i found too much vg makes me coughs up too much clear.phlegm.

jus kinda disappointed now that i been comparing the two side by side now...

i guess nothing comes close to analogs ay? ;(

I'm still a bit new to all of this again, but I just got my provari. Right now I am using a 2.6 Ohm CE2 at 4.4 volts, and a 40/60 vg/pg liquid and it's producing WAY more vapor than an analog did smoke for me. I smoke/vape the same way you do (mouth hit, then inhale).

I think a high voltage mod would probably get you what you are looking for. I know on my eGo the TH wasn't there because the vapor wasn't warm. Using the Provari at a slightly higher voltage gives me that warm hit kind of an analog would. Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly like an analog, but it's the closest I've gotten so far.

I didnt really stop wanting a cigarette untill I got a 5v box mod. That for my seemed to do it. I then got a chuck and was using it at 6v, which had an enormous throat hit and really big vapor. But at 6v for me, because I like a really big long drag I found that some of the liquid would just taste burnt. My wife on the other hand how didnt draw nearly as hard or long as I do didnt really have that problem at all.

a properly functioning rig will produce WAY more vapor than analogs produce smoke. higher wattage (heat) may be the answer. wattage is a relationship between voltage and resistance. 3.7 volts is enough for most people if you couple it with the correct "end hardware" (carto or atty) to get the wattage up higher so it feels more like smoke to you and is thick enough to satisfy. raising the voltage and using the same resistance will also raise the wattage. But again, a good carto/atty will produce a LOT of vapor, if you aren't fogging your smoking buddys out of the water, something is probably wrong. you may consider upping the nicotine level in your juice as well. I smoked a pack a day and to get totally analog free, i had to go up to 30mg/ml for about a month all the while sucking on that baby like it was a pacifier. It get easier pretty quickly though. i've been off the butts for 6 mths now. I smoked an analog last month, it wasn't anything to write home about. I prefer my PV now....it's more satisfying. If you want more throat hit, more PG might help. it's harsher.

I've never found an analog that could compare to the hit of my vape. You may like higher voltage better but I don't think it's the end all answer for your issue, battery may be low, atty need cleaning, bad atty, etc. Sounds like your equipment isn't functioning properly or you need to try a different juice. 3.7v on a LR 306 should give you plenty of punch and vapor.

If you're wanting to go up in voltage then I'd recommend a VV PV, that way you aren't limited to your batteries output. You can adjust it where you want no matter what equipment you're using. Within reason of course you wouldn't want to use a LR 306 at much higher than 3.7v......pop goes the atty but you can use it with VV where you couldn't a PV with batteries set at 6v.

I assume you are giving up on 36 mg?

As others have said, 3.7V with LR is pretty good. Personally I've gone to a mod, variable voltage, tend to run it around 5V.
You may want to adjust your nic level up slightly, which directly equates to throat hit.
Juice that's around 70 - 80% PG, 20 - 30% VG, is liked by many. If you're seeking both TH and vapor, I'd tend towards 70/30 with that bump in the nic.

I personally like my "Chuck" or "Bombshell" pv's at 6 volts. It wasn't bad at 3.7 with an lr, but I like the shorter drags with 6v. Get some of the lifepo4's as mentioned above or I like the protected tenergy 3v rcr123a 900mah batteries stacked in any of my tube mods for a steam rolling machine! Oh, and my "Saber Touch" only works on 6v. Any of the 3.7/6 volt tube mods should do the trick for you. Best of luck to you! =D

I think it's your juice. I always have at least a little something with cola blended in with my juices and get way more throat hit than I would with an analog.

Fizzy Cola from Bluemist, or Cherry Cola DIY flavor from Madvapes are my go-to throat hit flavors, and I'm not satisfied unless I have either one of them.

I vape 100% VG juice in Boge 2 ohm cartos on a 3.7 v device, and analogs just can't compete in terms of throat hit and vapor production.

Variable voltage can make a big difference. An inexpensive way to try it is to look on the Classifieds or buy a VV box mod from Madvapes for about $35. I started off with The Buzz, then recently bought a Darwin (awesome mod!). I'll never go back to 3.7v.

For me, liquid and the flavor makes a huge difference (you don't say what you're using). I'm constantly on the look out for great dirty throat hit which is more like a ciggy. I have to have it... I can't vape fruity tooty liquids .

I recently found a liquid that adds a KILLER throat hit (the people in our local vaping social group where I first tried it call it Throat Rape, LOL). Unfortunately, it's out of stock. :glare: I highly recommend trying Gold Label Hovana from The House of Vapor when they get it back in.

This stuff almost makes me cough it's so good! I put just a drop or two on my atty to "dirty" it up, and then use my regular e-liquid (for me Smooth 8 from Halo gives a pretty good throat hit anyway).

hey guys, so i haven't smoked since the camping trip fortunately..

but i just have this feeling everytime i'm out with my friends drinking, i'm going to have that urge to smoke an analog...

i'm on 12mg atm.. thinking about bumping it up to 18...but i've spent at least a hundred on juice already so .. >.< also had a bad experience at 18 before so a little hesistant (i OD'd on nic the first time i got my first PV lol)

i've tried some samples from the same company (vermillion river) and almost the same tobacco flavor, and the throat hit difference from 20mg and 12mg is a HUGE difference it's crazy

so i guess before I try bumpin up the juice, i bit the bank and ordered a ProVari to test out the different voltages.. duno how it's going to help me when i go out though as I don't think i want to lug that big thing around and i think my friends gonna poke fun if i bring an ugly box mod around lol

i know alot of you guys are comfortable vaping anywhere and everywhere, but i'm still in that spot where i'm a tad embarrassed to bust it out /shrug

thx everyone for their suggestions and encouragement
