signature doesn't always show

I want my signature to show on all of my posts, even the ones I wrote before adding the signature. (It only shows on the newer ones)

Is there any way to fix this?

The people with the "smoke-free for X days" banners as signatures don't seem to have this problem...

hmm... it would be interesting to see someone confirm that.

ya know i thought about it and i think it's simply that if you EDIT your existing sig - then the edit will show up in all your posts. but if you have no sig and you then go and create one - then this will only show in your subsequent posts. so there you go

That's because those banners are less signature and more running timer. You put in your quit smoking date, how much you smoked, and the cost per pack in your area. The banner then does the calculations. The banner itself is not stagnant text and is a little program all it's own pulled in from another site or another source.
