Signature Help Please

I'm allowed to have a one line signature. Everytime I try to type in one line and save, it tells me error, BB code too big. Ok, first off, I don't even know what BB code is. Secondly, since I don't know BB code, I have no idea what I am making too big. I'm just typing about 5 words....what the heck could be too big in that?! Any comp gurus out there care to give me a hint?

While editing your sig, click on the "text formatting" button, usually looks like a small and large A. That will show you all the extra stuff you are putting in your sig. I THINK that BB code is Bulletin Board code. Which would mean too many colors or fonts or smile faces. Too many of those things in your sig.

Ahhhhhhhh....so maybe if I try plain blah black instead of the burgandy I would really like to have, it will probably work. Sheesh, how dull that will be! Ok, I'll go give that a shot. Thanks Taur!

Glad I saw this thread - I was getting BB error messages too! But, I was trying to use a dark blue gray instead of burgandy. I don't like plain boring black font.

It's understandable why they limit signature size. I have seen some on other boards with 50 million blinking colors and smiling doodads. However not being able to type one line in color seems rather harsh to me.
