I've been pretty inactive on ECF lately, and why is that? Because my employer has made it their personal mission to make my life as miserable as possible after they decided RNs make too much $$$ and they'd rather have LPNs. Considering how amazingly successful they've been, not smoking barely registers as a stressor, so I haven't popped in to see my favorite support group much.

My name is Kris, and I hate my job.

Your turn! Say whatever you want to about your job. Sometimes it helps to stay positive, but other times it just feels good to do a little whining. So whine away!

Krisbkream sir 12 hour sundays are always killer. My job is one where we do everything no else wants to for less than we deserve... At least we get to act the fool while doing so.

Well I'm home for lunch and unable to stay home and watch my 49ers in the playoff game today. It's raining and cold but I have to be in outside garden until 8pm . There are very few customers at my store and none in garden....
Hopefully going on an interview later this week at a real nursery

Well your'e not alone ,hubby hates his and everyone he liked either quit in frustration or they played and fired .
Just not that easy to find work as it used to be .he gets payed well for hell and will take a pay cut with my blessings to be remotely happy again .In the old days he couldve quit and have a new one in 3 weeks ....but not now .
I have had jobs i loved and jobs i hate so i know how it feels to be in the right place .

I and 1 other person have been doing the work of 5 people because of pregnancy, family emergency, firing of one for incompetance. No one cares. The other lady is planning to quit.

My boss thinks he knows every thing. The only time I make mistakes is when I do it just like he says or get fired

Where I work, they outsourced a lot of mid-skilled people to low-skilled people in India. Now, I (a high-skilled person) have to do the the mid-skilled stuff that the people I cannot understand are not able to do. More high-skilled people go find other jobs leaving even more of their work for the rest of us to do. And then management wonders why it takes us hi-skilled people so long to do big project work now, and want to lay off high-skilled people because they do work beneath their pay grades... penny-wise/dollar-foolish.

I don't HATE my job, in fact its a pretty sweet gig. But its frustrating at times.

I'm a baker/cake decorator in a very large natural grocery store chain that is always on the "best places to work" list. But right now everyone in our dept wants to quit. Two people quit after xmas and they aren't hiring anyone to replace them.so now we can't keep up with everything and everyone is stressed out.
To top that off there's this crazy chick who we thought was going to quit at the first of the year but she's actually trying to get fired now so she can get unemployment. However they have to have tons of documentation before they can do that so she's just making all of us miserable with her craziness.
