There's a bakery right by my house that's hiring, but it seems like they're always hiring lately and that makes me nervous. Like, do they have high turnover because it's a crappy place to work? I mean I hate my job now but the benefits are good. Sigh. I shoulda married a rich man, not a teacher. Ha.
Skittish, maybe just check out the bakery by your house....go in and buy something to see if it's quality. See if the employees seem happy. You never know. Benefits are a concern to me too, this nursery is huge but it's family owned so not sure what the pay or bene's will be.
Lisa, yes my husband is a character. Perfect for an elementary school teacher. Sometimes he acts that age. Ha.

work around 12-20 hours a day, sometimes a couple days straight, ALL my bosses claim to know EVERYTHING, my pay averages out to less than minimum wage, 2 weeks notice doesn't exist here, there are no sick days, and it will turn anyone's head bald or gray in the mid 20's

I really dislike my job I work with the traveling public and believe me when I tell you most are way off center. But I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go around.Long hours and low pay just to get blamed when someone does something wrong and gets caught and blames me. Geeeezzz!

I wanna gripe too but I'm disabled due to brain cancer surgery and can't work, well, I can and would LOVE too but nobody'll hire me. Weird. Before I got sick I used to not want to work. Now that i can't, I want to. At least I can still vape, huh.

I just got my schedule and I'm working 9 days in a row. Pair that with a sinus infection that leaves me with headaches that suck the life out of me and it's gonna be awesome.
