Silly question

Can a user delete their own posting on ECF? I know i can edit the post, but not sure how to delete.

I actually think you cannot even edit after a time. You can always PM a moderator and ask them. The list of moderators on a subforum is at the very bottom of the page.

unsure if you can delete it as I am new here myself. However I would assume that you can't. Therefore the other option is to edit it removing all the words, so its just blank post. I have seen a few of those on forums in the past so I would assume thats what the poster had done.

No, you can't delete your own post, but you can report it with the triangle and a mod will delete it for you.
