Silly question

So I need to ask, when you vape is it truly safe? Now the reason I ask this is because you have coils made of different materials and when you heat up the coil you get the vapour, my question is, is it toxic? Because think about it you're heating up the coil when you vape so surely you're going to be inhaling the fumes off the actual coil along with the juice vapour, e.g. by that is when there's no liquid and you get a dry hit you're essentially vaping nothing but the coil. It's hard to convey this in words but I'm interested in what you all think, and I'd love someone to explain it to me

I wouldn't recommend ONLY that thread. It is just one of a gazillion. For me, and maybe only me, My doctor has seen positive changes and even my dentist. I can taste, smell, more energy, I don't stink around people, my house and car don't and I am not inconvenienced by going outside all the time.

All things in moderation. I use reputable gear and juice so that I don't do something stupid two inches from my face.

Don't skim on safety and use quality materials. It is much better than smoking.

Well the Royal College of Physicians tested vaping against smoking and determined that vaping was 95% safer than smoking.

Yes if you really crank up the power it can produce NASTY chemicals but NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND HAS THE VAPOR THAT HOT (1000 degrees,)

Is it safe? No. Yet nothing is safe if not done correctly or in moderation. I'd rather vape than smoke or even take a big deep breath in central London!

According to medical experts in UK, vaping is 95% safer than smoking.

If you use cheap dodgy batteries, e liquids from less than reputable suppliers (Not including DIY there of course) you are probably going to have safety issues.

There are very few if any that claim that vaping is safe but I think we can all agree that it is safer than smoking.

I agree with you. I think of vaping in terms of risk reduction not risk elimination IF and probably only if you are a current smoker. If you don't smoke and take up vaping then you have increased your risk of harm.

Smoking the filter tip is bad. Most stop when the filter tip starts to burn.
Same with vaping. You know when it's NOT right.

    Cheers

That brings up bad memories of lighting up the filter end, by mistake.
Wonder how much formaldehyde we inhaled doing that?...

I started over 6 years ago and was a 1.5 pad smoker for over 30 years and all I can tell you is that my health has changed dramatically. I mean it's night and day how much my body has changed and healed. They can talk all day long about this study and that study, but at least for me, I totally believe there is no comparison about how safe vaping is compared to smoking.

    ^^^This^^^ 100× this.

Not only has my health noticeably improved (20 a day for 14 years) thanks to vaping, I gained an enjoyable hobby with a great community.
