I am taking a short trip from Chicago to Minneapolis in a couple of days. My prefered method of vaping is a Silver Bullet with tank. I was planning on taking a generic looking V2 ecig with me on the plane, maybe for a stealth vape in the john. My question is, should I take the SB in carry on or check it in my luggage? I was planning to check it in my luggage, but read some nightmare stories about checked luggage and stolen vaporizers. If I bring it through TSA checkpoints, I feel it looks a little dangerous, and might arouse suspicion. Also, should I separate the batteries, tank, juice, and place in baggies?

It's funny because I was just talking to a buddy about how the Silver Bullet, out of most of the popular mods out there, looks most like a detonator, especially the chrome SB. I would rather bring it with me as carry-on. TSA usually lets my friend (who has a chrome SB) through once he explains that it is in fact an advanced e-cig. I don't think bringing a bunch of juice as carry-on is a good idea, and maybe a tank might be more suspicious, but i think you would be fine with a filled cartomizer. Stealth vapes FTW

I've flown out of both Chicago airports with an eGo with no problems. I filled a carto and packed my mods.

In Omaha I got stuck with a dead eGo and no mods so I used an 18650, a paperclip and my carto and still aroused no suspicion. weird...

I simply left the SB in the checked bag to avoid any discussions as the people I was flying with were the impatient type. Tanks might be considered "liquids" so that seems like a no go in my book.

Flying in and out of Kansas City this week. Hope I have the same results.
