Recently stuck my toes in to the rebuildable waters. I have had my Silver Bullet for about two years and had just been using carts and a tank (I know! I know!), and my friendly vape store dude finally convinced me to get up with the times. So I bought what he called a "starter rebuildable," the Russian 91%.

No problems with rebuilding it or filling it or anything like that. But after lots of fiddling with it in various ways, and buying new and better batteries, and changing the wick to organic cotton, and changing the size of the wire, it still does not satisfy me. It just doesn't give me a good enough hit, KWIM?

I can't figure out what is wrong. But I know something surely is when the new (total cost @ $85) setup I got for my daughter yesterday as her first e-cig ever hits BETTER than mine (total cost @ $300). :(

Ideas? Help? Thank you in advance.

Rebuildables aren't for everyone. The fact that they're being promoted as the best thing is wrong. They can be, but they take fiddling and there is a learning curve. For people who aren't used to fiddling or don't have time to learn, they're more of a headache than anything.

That said, what does your multimeter read for your Russians resistance? My guess is that you're making the coils too high. For a good solid vape, you have two options... Learn to make coils exactly the right resistance for your fixed voltage device or get something that does variable voltage.

The silver bullet is an amazing machine. Practically indestructible, reliable and is nice to look at. What it isn't though, is variable voltage. You are stuck with 3.7ish volts, and dealing with voltage drop through the life of the battery.

So, reduce the resistance of your coil, or invest in a VV mod.

Best of luck,
