I like both but I have to say I find myself using the SB more. But that's probably because I mostly use the SB/Omega at home and my BB at the office.

Oddly enough I find there is only one position and method for activating the Omega. You hold it one way and activate with your thumb. With the SB there are a number of fairly equally comfortable positions to hold it and press that wonderful button with thumb or one of a couple of fingers. I expected the opposite. (The SB button is even way more wonderful than the BB button -- although I guess they are the same mechanically inside). The SB does have to be positioned rotationally to orient the button under whatever you're going to press it with.

The SB is almost pocket proof from inadvertent activation
The Omege not so much. You have to be aware of it. Like sitting down in a car seat is likely to compress it in a front pants pocket.

It takes more effort to activate the Omega than it does the SB.

The Omega *feels* a lot smaller than the SB and has the visual illusion of looking measurably smaller too. The Omega is lighter.

Since the Omega is all mechanical and completely user serviceable you can't do any permanent damage or anything requiring you to send it in for service by dropping it in a mud hole or something like that.

The Omega is cooler.

My opinion? If I could only get one, it would be the SB. I might *want* to get the Omega more but the SB would be the right decision.

Having a BSB and an Omega, I too am torn. I find the BSB more utilitarian, as it's easy to put in my pocket, shirt, whatever. The button on it is easy to operate and fires every time. Being built for both 3.7 and 6v it never misfires. That said, the Omega is just dang sexy. Its sleek design and light weight, ease of use and no obvious button gives it a certain classiness. Just be sure to have a belt flashlight holder for it, as you don't want to put it in your pocket. Also, when using 6v on the Omega, it (albeit rarely) can misfire as it wasn't built for the cr123a batts. The casing is just a bit wide for them, and any bump or jarring may, ever so slightly, dislodge the batts or cause the activating pin to not connect correctly. A slight tap on the hands or unscrew/screw the top a bit usually fixes it. The (original) Omega is also a pain in the tuckus to keep polished. Its nickle plating tarnishes very easily. The newer models are chrome, and easier to polish, as well as the new black/silver vein options which need little to no polishing.

Both units are fine PVs and I recommend them. That said, if you're rough with your PV or need something you can pocket easily then go with the SB. If you want to add that extra bit of sexy and class to your vaping, then go with the Omega.

Personally, I'd start with the SB, then later buy the Omega for the "night out on the town" or parties... when vaping alone isn't cool enough, use the Omega.

I haven't touched my BSB since I received my Omega. My BSB had the old spring, so it just doesn't hit as well as the Omega does. I have six pairs of cr123's, and only one set of them do not work well in my Omega. I guess they must be slightly shorter than the rest.

Spring should be plenty long enough. When I drop 2 cr123a's in it, there is at least 1/3 of the top battery sticking out before screwing on the top. When I put the top on I have to compress it maybe 1/4" before the threads start to engage. Only problem I could see is if the batteries were made with an unusually small diameter positive button.
