Had a mishap that was my fault and had a battery short on my in my silver bullet last night

So this forced the issue with me that a lack of a vent hole could have spelled disaster if I was not paying attention.

I am going to drill a vent hole into the mod and was looking for feedback of about what size hole, how many, and placement would be a good idea. I am thinking 3 1/16th holes on the bottom.

Well I would rather have it at the button, because if I am vaping sitting a vent hole in the bottom would put it in my lap and that's were I keep my tenders. And who's to say putting an additional vent hole in it, if the gas wouldn't still come out the top slot.

I was thinking about the bottom because it would be easier to heal from severe burns to thigh and groin area (would still suck!) than damage to your face and eyes.

All of this was under the assumption that there were no vent holes which I now know is false.

I use imr but the protected batteries fit a lot better in the SB. I was using an inferior flat top protected battery with a magnet which causes the issue. The protection circuit failed and the magnet somehow shifted to the side of the mod as I was screwing on the cap. It got very hot and luckily I smelled it before the battery touched off.

new springs on the way so I can vape my SB again.

Thanks for that, I was wondering how the bat failed.

Basically the magnet was suppose to be centered on the positive terminal. By being off to the side it would short the positive terminal to the wall of the mod. Kinda like laying a big ole screwdriver across both terminals of a car battery.
