Silver bullet with genesis type tank

Hey guys im ordering a genesis type tank and before it gets here I would like some advice on how many coils i should be using just to be safe......

I dont have a voltage meter, but i can probably get one, where should I be reading at for this mod? What should the meter be set to?

Any ideas on how many coils I should use?

Just dont wana break this silver bullet ive had it a while and am new to rebuilding, any advice is helpful!

it depends on your wire if you are using 32 gage you would be safe with a 3/4 or a 4/5 wrap IMHO.

It depends what kind of wire you are using. I use 5/6 turns of 32ga Kanthal A1. The coil is 2.9 ohm and I vape it at 5.6V.

I have 32 and 33 ga wire, if that helps and ill be vaping on a silver bullet mod.....i dont have any variable voltage mods at all......

On my silver bullet I found that using 4 coils with the 32g wire works great. Anymore makes it too hot, and less just doesn't give you a great hit.

With 32 ga Kanthal I would use 3/4 or 4/5 turns. that should give you 2.0-2.4 ohms.

Keep in mind that it is very easy to short the coil on the wick if it is not properly oxidized. I cannot stress enough the need of a multimeter to check resistance before you fire it.

ideally from 1.3 to 1.5 ohms, you succeed with 32 awg and 4 to 5 turns and have from 8 to 9 wats. PG 100% excellent

If you have the money then buy a Kick for your SB. It protects your device if you have a short and the VW is perfekt when you change your ohms

Lol so i got it in today set everything up dropped 4 coils on my wic, fired it up lol and it burned through the coil wire....seems to be breaking right in the area between the post and the mesh wick........its not touching center post at all........ive tried from 5 wraps to 3......same situation
....

No...your wick is not oxidized enough, drip a few juice drops on it and put it in a blue flame until it is glowing orange.

After that,let it cool and THEN try a wrap.

Also: DO NOT use water to cool it off, it will compromise the wick and it will fall apart.

Thanks el.......yeah ive done it 4 times already including 3 w juice..........all of them i heated it till it was red......

are both the screw holes usable for the wire to wrap on? maybe im using the wrong one?

You are going to mess up the Bullet if you keep firing it with a short. Dont do that anymore. The best vid to get the problem you are having straightened out is the one Zen made. You just need to fiddle with the coils until you get them to all glow evenly. This video was a game changer for me. The light bulb went off in my head and I finally understood it all. Watch it and you will also.

It sounds like your wick is not oxidized enough. Make sure you oxidize it well and also look up "rolling paper genesis wick" on youtube. Since using the rolling paper mod I seldom have to adjust the coils. I also found that NiChrome wire will burn up easier than Kanthal.

Since you're using a Silver Bullet, when firing the wick for the first time use a battery that is NOT fully charged - this will heat up the coil slower (lower voltage) and will reduce the chance of burning up the coil.

my god thank you guys for all your help! that video rocked and i got it right......unfortunately for somereason , it wont fire on my silver bullet now but my vivinova works on my bullet.......it will fire on my omega tho? kinda odd....any clues?

I dont really have a clue other than maybe try cleaning the contact at the top of the Bullet and wait here for others to help.
