I have several REOs that are the same color anodization but vary by virtue of whether they are prepolished or tumbled before anodization.
I've ordered a prepolished and then anodized gold. I'm hoping Robert hasn't had time to do it as we have
three SO 18490s coming so funds will be tight AND...

I'm going to be ordering a prepolished and then anodized silver/silver. It will be very close, in looks, to the polished without anodization but have the toughness factor of the anodization. If Rob hasn't done my Polished Gold yet I may do a switch but if he has it already in process then I'll just wait a bit. Putting a polish on the bare aluminum before anodization creates a whole different look from the anodized on tumbled, no matter the color of the anodization.
The absolute best metal REO for rough conditions is the Silver. When it gets dings and gouges they are so much less noticeable as the bare aluminum is almost exactly the same color as the silver anodized color Robert uses.
The bare aluminum Polished is absolutely gorgeous but subject to showing every fingerprint and scratches very easily.
I think
our idea is stellar!
And, yes, there is an extra charge for Robert to polish the REO first, as to be expected. It is pretty time consuming and he makes sure it is as perfect as possible.
