There are so many positive things that have happened to me since I started vaping I thought it would be fun to share and get input from others on their vaping experience.
My top 10
1. I no longer wake up feeling like I have a ton of bricks on my chest.
2. No more coughing
3. My clothes no longer smell awful
4. I have found my taste buds and really enjoy food (maybe a bit too much but working on that).
5. I can walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing and feeling like I might have a heart attack.
6. I no longer need to run outside when I travel for work to smoke
7. I can vape in my hotel room and in my home
8. I no longer worry if I have enough cigarettes to last the night.
9. I am not buying Altoids by the dozen so as not to offend people with my smokers breath
10. All the wonderful people on this forum and at my local B&M who always provide support and education.

I was worried I would put on some weight since food now tasted... like food. Y'know what I found? I actually lost weight because my sweet tooth was now being satisfied by vaping. No more snacks, replaced by pear marzipan torte and key lime pie juice. I also cut sugar out from my tea (I love my tea) as I vape while drinking it. Completely unexpected benefit. Another vape win.

Congrats on all the positives vaping has meant to you :toast:

I'll add -

* So far, in 21 days of not smoking, 525 cigarette butts have not been generated by me. Even properly disposed, cigarette butts are considered by many to be a toxic waste material because of the chemicals in them and because they take ages to degrade. They are a serious environmental issue and hazardous to wildlife.

* Here in Utah, I have avoided paying about $12 a week in tobacco tax. Stickin' it to the man!!

* For health insurance purposes: non-smoker rates

All of these reasons are great so +1 for me as well.... I know my wife and I quit smoking Sep 2013 and moved a week later I opened a tote today that hadn't been open since before the move and all I could think was idk how we could stand smoking in the first place. Keep it up guys glad we are all feeling better and living healthier lives.

my insurance guy said i would have to take a nic test to get the non-smoker rates, but i could get preferred tobacco instead of smoker rates. you werent required to do that? i am refering to life insurance, as my medical is covered through work.

I just started vaping and I can see myself in all of those. I work in a school and can really relate to the breath mints. I popped them like crazy, and even still the kids would make comments that they could smell smoke. That is embarrassing :( I would play along like "oh that is strange, where is it coming from" and if they could smell it, so could all the teachers I work with.
