Single coil in turbine

Where do I place the airholes when I want to build a single coil in my steam turbine?

You want the airholes right over the coil/wick. You can also experiment with them slightly either side of that for bigger TH (but smaller vapor).

My question was, if the cap has two permanent airholes (for dual wicks), how do I position it for a single wick? Do I just align one air hole in front of the coil?

Yes, if you can throw some tape or something over the other hole
